Eudora Allegra had never been so happy in her entire life. Currently, she was sat in the Allegra annex with the best group of people. Sat closely beside her, beneath the fluffy blanket that shrouded her, was Elva in all her beautiful blonde glory.
Opposite, Bonnie Bennett are aggressively from a tub of ice cream, Elena Gilbert was sat on the rug by the coffee table and Caroline Forbes was lounging upside down in an armchair. Collectively, they were each in their own grumpy state.
Eudora Allegra was busy being grumpy about Stefan Salvatore, the love of her existence. The ripper of Monterey was currently locked up in the old Forbes jail cell thanks to his dead again best friend, Lexi. And Eudora wanted nothing more than to go and visit him but she knew for certain that she couldn't be trusted not to let him out. As nervous as she was to hear his choice, she just wanted it over and done with. She just wanted to hear him choose Elena so she could go and get on with her life, accepting that he chose Elena. While she was waiting, she held on to hope.
Elena Gilbert was basking in a similar feeling. The Gilbert girl couldn't help but feel immense guilt because with every passing day, she was drawn closer to the older Salvatore brother and it terrified her. It was getting close to the point where they were on a level playing field. And it was painful to consider, the prospect of being with Damon completely, she knew the reactions she would receive from doing so. Despite her growing emotions for Damon, she was struck with a remaining desire to be chosen by Stefan and she knew how selfish it all was. They were living in some strange love square. And if Elena rejected Stefan and he got with Eudora, the blonde witch would just feel like a second choice. Similarly, if Stefan chose Eudora and Elena then chose Damon, he would feel like the second best. They all just prayed that it would all work out well but none could be sure while Stefan was currently in another mind.
Bonnie was heartbroken because she loved Jeremy Gilbert completely, she had defied all the laws of magic to bring him back to life because she couldn't live without him and he had chosen to hold on to someone who was dead over her. Granted, Jeremy had loved Anna and Vicki once. She didn't know what to do because now that the ghosts had been banished from mystic falls, they were all stuck thinking of what had happened while they were there.
Caroline was in two minds about Tyler Lockwood, he was stuck sired to Klaus, their sworn enemy but she couldn't help but love him anyway. Audra's partial return seemed to have changed Tyler because now, his jackass ways were lessened, he seemed to be taking every day as it came and embracing them as they did. Caroline couldn't help but love the new Tyler, even if he needed Audra's love to unleash him.
And Elva was struggling in their new life. The older blonde witch was back and she was thrilled to be so, but coming back from the dead was naturally difficult. They had to pretend that she had been in a coma since the fire, that they had pretended she was dead because it hurt less than considering the possibility that she may never awaken again. They'd contacted their mothers and heard absolutely nothing because Mercy and Bernadette were selfishly in love.
And Elva Allegra was worried because, from the tales she had been told, she had been brought back to save someone who had no intention of becoming good once more. Klaus Mikaelson was notoriously evil and she knew that from one glance at him, she'd accept him, flaws and all. The prospect was terrifying because for most people, it just happened, they didn't know they were going to meet their soulmate until they did. Yet here Elva was, anticipating it.
"What did we all do to get such bad luck with men?" Caroline grumbled, her arms crossed and there was a collective sigh because they all absolutely agreed. They'd definitely got the short straw in love life.
"You won't hate me? Will you?" Elva suddenly burst out and they all looked at her. Elena and Caroline had become fast friends with the older witch. She was a more sensible and timid version of Eudora.
"We could never hate you for something you have no control over Elva" Bonnie promised and the simple sentence was the confidence she needed. Elva knew that her life was never supposed to be easy but she trusted herself to be able to make a difference. She was strong. And she would not waste her second chance at life.
