Eudora sat beside Stefan on his bed, neither of them making a sound as they just thought about everything that had happened in the past few days. Elena Gilbert was now a vampire, or at least she was in transition. Eudora hadn't made it in time and she would forever blame herself for that because now Elena has to make the choice; turn or die.
It was the choice that every vampire always had to make, however for some it was made easier than others. Elena had never wanted to be a vampire, she despised the idea of it despite being surrounded by vampires who she claimed to love. And now, she was having the choice taken away from her because the alternative was just as depressing.
The thing that made it worse was that nobody could do anything to help. Elena only had two options. And Damon knew what side he was on, the older Salvatore had a day to convince her that living as a vampire with him was better than death.
"What do you think she will do?" Eudora stated as she turned to her soulmate, his face was solemn given the upcoming death of the person he once loved more than anything else. The feelings didn't just die, they just slowly faded into the background as his love for Eudora intensified.
"Eudora... on that day, the day I found out that I was your soulmate. Elena looked me in the eye and she told me that she absolutely never wanted this" he stated calmly but she could see in the beautiful forest green eyes of his, that he was unhappy. Either way, Elena would be unhappy.
"I'm so sorry Stefan" Eudora's gaze cast downwards sadly because no matter how many people promised her that it was okay, she couldn't help but blame herself. If she'd just ran a little bit faster or drove slightly speedier, she could have saved Elena. Eudora felt sick with the feeling of guilt.
And everything was turning for the worst in Mystic Falls, Alaric's evil alter ego had outed Caroline and Tyler to the council and now, as far as they all knew, the two of them were on the run. It was only a matter of time before the others in town got caught up in all the drama.
"Hey, Dora. This isn't your fault okay? What happened... it couldn't have been helped." Stefan promised, holding her face and as he did so, he noticed for the first time how pale she was, her skin felt hot but she shivered and in the next second, she ran away. Stefan was shocked, sitting still for a long moment before following her into the ensuite where she was currently painting the inside of the toilet bowl with her vomit. "Hey" he hushed softly as he dropped onto his knees behind her, pulling her long blonde hair out of her face.
The witch pushed him away weakly, clearly not wanting her boyfriend to see her in this way but he resisted and eventually she gave up.
"What's wrong?" He wondered when she finally lent back, tears dancing across her vision.
"I'm just tired" she shook her head, her hand placing on her forehead as the disgusting taste of bile swarmed around her mouth and urged her to be sick again. "My head hurts" Stefan's cool fingers placed on her skin and she unconsciously leant into the touch.
