Eudora hummed where she sat at a park bench within the grounds of Mystic Falls High school, aimlessly sifting through a text book that she had absolutely no interest in whatsoever. She found herself still being angered by the events of the founders day kick off party which is why she was currently ignoring the brown penetrating gaze of Tyler Lockwood who played basketball mere metres away, missing the hoop in a repetitive fashion as he watched his best friend as she blatantly ignored him.
Eudora was content in her musings, watching the world go by in a fashion she was most accustomed to. It was a pastime, a hobby as such. Like looking upon the figures in a snow globe, she watched as Stefan arrived, whizzing through the parking lot in a cherry red car which she could safely attest she had never had the pleasure of seeing before now. It suited him and clearly Elena agreed as she was quick to join his leather clad side. It pained her to see but what position did she stand in this battle? Elena was quite clearly the victor now as he chose her time and time again. Informing him of her emotions would only cause more pain.
"Eudora" Tyler smiled, sitting down opposite her and she was proud to say she made the effort to smile in return. He may be an asshole to ninety nine percent of the population but he was an angel to her and that was something you just can't ignore in a world where everyone else seems to be pitted against you. It was impossible to her to deny his friendship when she remembered the gurgling toddler and emo twelve year old that Tyler had once been, gallivanting around the Allegra manor and the Lockwood mansion with no concern or knowledge of what would occur in just a few years, with no regard for the money it cost to keep their lives so serene.
"Tyler" was her return, after all she had made a promise to herself that their friendship would have one last chance, with the miss mystic falls pageant which she had no concern for actually winning. Just being there was homage enough to Audra who was the current Miss Mystic falls, though she supposed her title would now be former considering they had handed the responsibility to the second placed holder.
"So... Miss Mystic Falls, eh?" he wondered, the joking was gone now and tension lingered. Tyler did not know the truth about Matt and Eudora, perhaps if he had; he would understand the position she had put him in. It felt as though the time had come to tell the world. What would people say? It was a scandal, the rich Bernadette giving birth to six daughters all with a poor toilet cleaner as a father. But you could say what you wanted about Matt's father, he was a good friend to Bernadette and Mercy and he was handsome, his son and daughters getting their fair share of the good genetics.
"Do you have a free period today?" she wondered, perhaps it was time for a catch up, at least in the non supernatural elements. She longed to tell her best friends her feelings of everything, to express how it felt to love someone so entirely who would never return the feelings. But for now, telling him of her 'crush' would be enough. How ironic, they all possessed a love for someone they could never have, Matt for Elena, Caroline for Matt, Eudora for Stefan and Tyler for Audra. At least Eudora's crush was closer in potential to Tyler's.
