Eudora leant against the cold stone wall of the Salvatore basement with intrigued eyes as Damon and Stefan interacted. It was bizarre to see someone look so close to death (as Damon did now) talking.
It was early in the morning at the Boarding house and Eudora had come to visit, after their conversation the night of the Founders ball, they grew closer and Stefan came to find her humour somewhat refreshing. He was also grateful for her secrecy over his vampirism and in return, he told no one what happened that night at the Allegra Manor, not even Elena who did not currently know of the bond forming between her boyfriend and her close friend.
Eudora had occupied the remainder of her time going to the dreaded school and thankfully, after having seen her at the Founders ball, people were not overly surprised by her presence back in town.
The Allegra daughter had hoped that she could drag Bonnie to their Grams house but the girls cousin was resisting after agreeing to it a few days ago, Eudora suspected she was scared of the outcome.
"Where's my ring?" Damon croaked, void of all effort to even sit up and look at those he was addressing.
"You won't be needing it anymore" Stefan returned from the shadows as Damon groaned to himself on the floor. Eudora could not imagine a world where her and her sisters would act so cold to her. Even in those last days, where Amena was driven to insanity, there had been moments of joy and peace. Damon and Stefan didn't have that.
"How long have I been here?" Damon wondered and Eudora smirked to herself.
"Ten years. In the mean time, I married Matt, Elena was turned into a vampire and Tyler and Caroline finally completed their lifelong destiny of being together" Eudora smirked from the shadows where Damon couldn't see her, though he knew her voice.
"Funny, you still sound like a baby." he chucked beside himself though Stefan seemed done with the conversation, not enjoying the amusement Damon was getting out of the current situation.
"You've been here for three days" Stefan's tone was naturally brooding and Eudora couldn't help but roll her eyes. He spoke this way with Elena, almost sounding emotionless though from the past few days of becoming close friends, Eudora had learnt that there was real emotion within the boy, he was just very reserved.
"What are you doing?"
"During the dark ages, when a vampire's actions threatened to expose or bring harm upon the entire race, they would face judgement" he explained and Eudora scoffed, causing him to send her a raised eyebrow whilst she merely smiled innocently in return. He could truly be a drama queen about things.
"We are locking you up so you can't hurt people... Basically." Eudora explained with a shrug as she neared the cell door, pulling her body up as high as she could on her tiptoes though she could still barely see through the small box window at where Damon lay. He looked over at her." Hi" she greeted with a small smile and he chuckled again before groaning as a consequence.
