Epilogue

(Kismet)

Sounds of the calming, yet rushing, water fills Seokjin's ears as he walks across the meadows of the bright variance of flowers.

To the left side of his shoulder, a bed of perfectly aligned pebbles assembles all the way to the bottom. Green is apparent in every aspect of this picturesque day.

Moist fills his nostrils and the dry feeling of the air seeps into his tuxedo creating beads of sweat. With the pad of his hand, Seokjin removes the sweat and sits at the edge of the river and gently sways his hand inside the water, liking the cool of its contact.

"I'm glad you can spiritually be with us for the biggest moment of my life. I wished you could be there to fill dad's shoes. Sofia is filling both of your shoes today instead, " Seokjin softly chuckles, his throat dried and getting harder to swallow.

It had been two years since his mother had died and he still feels as if it was yesterday. It had been hard to live without her presence in the world. She did bad things but she was still his mother.

Namjoon had told him that his father had been a changed man before he passed away. And it sucks that people change just when they have their lives cut short. It's probably the universe telling them that no matter how much they changed, things won't change for them. Bad people change, and they're allowed to change, it just means that people won't forgive you or the universe would forgive you. What is done it's done.

The rush of the water calmed his wondering mind. Sometimes he would come here to be next to his mother. Since she was dead, he could go on and on about what was troubling him inside.

Not a lot of things troubled him as before. It seemed as the rushing water of the cascade had finally calmed into a beautiful river where he could finally engage with the serene fishes. Namjoon was finally working on his latest touch ups for his first album. He had dancers for his music video and at times would come home really late. This didn't bother him. He has his kids to tend to and he finally had time to go to school which he adored.

Because he wasn't living with Sofia anymore, Seokjin had to find a way for his kids to be taken care while he went to school. Jimin was always helpful as well as Namjoon's mother.

After all the commotions that they had gone through these small problems that would arise didn't really bother him. The horrible had come but the solutions were still there.

That's what Seokjin is mostly confiding in the most. The past is in the past and he was now in the future. Nothing else can scare him now. With his mother looking over him, he can face anything. With Namjoon, he can find peace and with his children, he can find the deepest of love, the sacrifice of a parent for their children.

There was nothing and then there was everything. Out of action comes a consequence; out of a choice comes a decision.

Sadly smiling, Seokjin retrieves his hand from the water and places both at the top of his knees and stares deep in thought. His running thoughts are interrupted by the sound of one of his children.

The sun was glistening by now and he had to squint to look at who was coming in his direction. His eyes, because he had stared too long at the small waves produced by the river, blinked before him, making out a small figure with its yellow dress flowing in the wind.

Seokjin smiles.

It was his daughter running up to him. Behind her Jungkook slowly walked, his hands inside his pocket. They both had come from the building that Namjoon owns. He mentally curses himself. He had forgotten about the time.
