Chapter Thirty-Seven:

(Kismet)

The car was was parked right in front of a tree. He was four houses away from Taehyung's house. There was a Jeep in front of the house he was currently invading. Loud music was banging off the speakers making him queasy inside.

The passenger seat had a pedal that could make the seat go back, low enough to be a bed and the person can relax and close their eyes.

For Hoseok's case, relaxing was out of the frame. His back was pressed back on the seat, his spine arched in stiffness. He can't relax. Not when he is in close proximity with the love of his life. His forbidden love.

"Waiting will not make this uneasiness go away. Stopping time will not stop for you," Aliyah, implicates out of concern. She shakes her curls while she taps the steering wheel.

Hoseok ignores what she says and instead focuses on the car roof. The grey to compliment his soul: there is no out for him. Maybe he was meant to be alone. Taehyung is not compatible with him even if he tries to believe he is.

"If you don't get out of this damn car I will leave you here and you'll have to walk back to the dance studio by foot," she warns, the temper evident in her voice.

"I'm not ready," Hoseok whines. Out of sympathy, she removes parts of his hair aside and gently snarls at him.

"Out! Now! Your eternal love is waiting. Go fight for it," she says, unlocking the door.

Hoseok sighs, his body draining, heaviness seeping in. The sun was too bright as he got out of the car.

Too happy. Too delightful.

A contrast to the darkness that is surrounded; brightly shining out of him. Such a paradox. Even the sun brings the darkness out of people. The sun is supposed to have the good things in life; however; even light shines in darkness.

Like the Martin Luther King Jr quote: "'darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that', Hoseok needs to be positive in this situation.

There will always be darkness, enemies, hatred, jealousy, evilness but this won't stop unless there is light. Unless there is people fighting for the righteous in this world, for the positivity, the wonders of this world.

If Hoseok is in the darkness he will always stay in the darkness. Fighting will take him out of the darkness. Light is at the end of the tunnel; fight until you see it.

Hoseok realizes this as he steps on the 'Welcome' mat right in front of the front door.

Frantic. Panic. Anxious. Overwhelming sensation at the pit of his stomach rumbles, the shakiness of his fingers proof of how nervous he is.

Hoseok clears his throat and knocks on the door. There was a noise inside. That is something that Hoseok is sure off.

The neighborhood looks warmly at him, as if they are welcoming him, in the other hand, Taehyung's family won't be so welcoming. Specifically, Sofia. Sofia is the mother hen of this family after Seokjin. If he can't pass Seokjin, passing Sofia will be next to impossible.

There is a pausing beat before the door is opened. Hoseok's face falls. He wasn't expecting Sofia. This will be much more difficult.

She's wearing a red pattern apron and holding a remote control. She suspiciously, scans him from top to bottom.

"Who are you?"

"We are friends of Taehyung," Aliyah says from behind him. She gives Sofia a wide smile and extends her hand to him. "I'm Aliyah."
