'I know you got all dressed up for the club
Waiting on them to come pick you up
Baby, when I saw ya walking out the door
I just knew ya needed something more'

Staring into the mirror that was foggy from her shower, Maya gazed at her hazy reflection. Her towel wrapped around her curvy for that was littered with stretch marks and scars. She frowned at her mocha complection that was already beginning to dry as her skin was turning ashy. He curls fell around her shoulder's in soft curls that had definitely grown longer since when she had shaved off her hair three years ago.
The soft hum of Trey Songz could be heard from behind the bathroom door as his melodic voice filled the apartment.
Tightening the purple towel around her large frame she began to do her self-care routine as she showered her body with the vitamins and nutrients it needed to maintain a healthy glow. A soft knock came on the door, making Maya jump slightly.
"Maya are you okay in there?" Sadie called anxiously through the door.
Maya smiled, "Yeah I'm fine. I'll be out in ten minutes." She reassured. She heard Sadie mumble an okay before leaving Mayalika's room. Probably to go check on her son Jordan.
Maya and Sadie's classes that day had been early so the two had been able to pick Jordan up from day care and spend the rest of the morning shopping with a grumpy Jordan in toe. Sadie had come over to help Maya choose an outfit for her date tonight while Jordan occupied Maya's TV watching Power Ranger's.
Maya opened the door letting a gust of air caress her refreshed skin. She spotted a bored looking Sadie sprawled out on her phone; scrolling through her phone as she blew air out of her cheeks. She sat up as when she heard the door open, a smile spreading on her face as she rolled off of the large bed. She skipped over to Maya's desk, picking up the dress that was hung over the chair and thrusting it into Mayalika's arms.
"Let's get you ready for this date!" Sadie smiled gleefully.

"Wow Sadie, I look amazing." Sadie smiled, leaning against the wall as she stared at her finished masterpiece in awe.
Maya wore yellow flared pants paired with a white off the shoulder shirt. Her hair was straightened so that it fell around her shoulders like a silk curtain. On her feet she wore black high heeled sandals. Sadie had done her makeup nude apart from her lipstick that was a dark shade of brown. Her ears adorned with gold hoops.
Maya turned around in her mirror in amazement at her new look, her face heating up as she gazed at herself in shock.
"You're a miracle worker!" Maya felt herself exclaim, walking over to Sadie she pulled her into a tight embrace. Sadie beamed, hugging her back with just as much force.
"No problem. What are best friends for?" Sadie proclaimed. Maya's heart warmed at the simple word.
"Thank you so much, Sadie.", she mumbled into her shoulder still trying to avoid smudging her makeup.
Sadie pulled away from Maya, a grin still plastered to her face, "No problem. Just go out and have fun oh and text me after to tell me how it went." She reminded.
Maya nodded, chuckling with Sadie as she watched the toddler barrel into the room with an energetic Ralph and throw himself at Maya's legs. Heaving him up into her arms, Jordan placed a sticky finger on her nose.
