Maya hopped towards the front door; attempting to put her shoe on while her phone was lodged between her shoulder and head. Ralph followed curiously behind his owner with a confused look on his face.
"I'm just about to set off now!" Maya stated into the receiver of her phone.
She was on her way to Omari's house for his sister, Keira's, girls night. Keira had claimed that she had wanted to take the opportunity to live a little before the baby came and so the idea of a sleep over had come about. Maya was invited along with two of her friends subsequently kicking Omari out for the night.
Although the girls were five years younger than her, Maya was flattered to have been invited to Keira's party. Maya thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to get to know her boyfriend's little sister.
Maya smiled at the word.

Maya jumped in glee as her lime green ball rolled down the lane; knocking the ten pins down. She turned smugly to look at Omari; sticking her tongue out at him as she finished her celebratory dance.
Omari shook his head, leaning back in the semi-circle booth as he watched the screen play a small animation, the words: Strike blazing in bright gold letters. After their morning session, the two had eaten breakfast before King had suggested they go out for their second date. So here they were in the bowling alley competing for the chance to humiliate the loser.
"Beat that." Maya beamed smugly as she plopped down, taking a long sip of her chilled cola.
Omari smirked cheekily, "Oh I intend to." He responded. He moved to the rack where a fresh red ball had appeared. Clasping it, he moved towards the lane, scrunching his brows as he aligned himself with the balls.
Maya watched in amusement as the threw the ball. It landed with a thump in the gutter and rolled smoothly into abyss of the back end. Omari frowned, the animation above him was of a sad pin saying: BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME!
Maya burst out laughing, falling back in her seat as Omari did his walk of shame back to the table.
"What happened to all that big talk?" She inquired.
Omari grunted, snatching her drink as he gulped the rest of the contents. Maya pouted; snatching the cup back and shook it. It made a tinkle as the ice moved in the bottom of the plastic cup.
"You owe me a drink." She remarked.
"How about something better?" He proclaimed.
Maya quirked a brow, "Like what?" She teased. She leaned her forearms on the table, leaning forward so that she was staring directly into Omari's face. He tugged on his beard, his eyes glancing briefly down at her lips before resuming their intense gaze.
"Be mine." He whispered.
Maya's eyes widened as she leaned back in shock. King's face faltered for a second as a frown graced his face only to be replaced by a blank look.
