"Wait, Amanda!" Jack scampered up to the director, smiling worriedly.
"Yes, Mr. Jolene?"
Jack balked, smiling down at his hands nervously, "I was only going to ask, since Simon doesn't want to be cast in the female role—"
Amanda waves Jack off, glaring past him, "No, go away."
"But, I can—"
"You're not a girl."
"B-But neither is Simon!"
"Her name isn't Simon, Jack."
And with that, Jack choked back another retort, turning to Markus (who was halfway across the room, talking to Connor.) and scowled.
He walked over to Markus, Connor, and Simon, glaring.
He jabbed a finger towards Amanda, already forming a half-assed plan.
"Amanda said you were a girl!" Simon looked over and burst into tears. He ran towards the back-stage rooms, sobbing.
