       Roses bloomed on her skin, violent and bloody. Glass carved her flesh, sloughing away her skin so thoroughly.

      Vivid and bloody clouds led away from her body, starbursting outward.

      But then she pressed her feet to the bottom of the lake, and corroded the earth from the inside out.

      She was hurting and she would let them feel her pain. It would fester in her guts, and melt her ribcage.

      She would vomit roaches and away from her tears would fly butterflies. Her hair would shed into pools of keratin, rust red as she made a cosmos with her body.

      But then, the earth claimed her.
