Connor and Hank are sitting in the living room of Hank's small-ish home. It's an oddly warm day for Detroit's weather, which means a sluggish day of sitting on the couch and watching TV. Nines is in the other room, talking calmly into the phone at Fowler, telling him that the small family will, in fact, /not/ be going into work that day.
Something dark passes over the house.

A noise rings from the roof, the sound of carving wood shatters the companionable silence that had pervaded the home before.
And then, a solid /thump!/ from outside, and an almost pained howl from Sumo.

A growl shudders the house, and Gavin exits the bathroom, sending a glare at the door.
"What's going on?"

Connor's LED flashes red. He jumps up from his place on the sofa and rushes over to slide under the coffee table. He covers his head, terrified.

Hank hops up, fear sparking to life.

He crouches next to Connor, beckoning quietly for Nines to make sure his brother is okay.
He stalks towards the door, opens it, and...

      Slams it shut again.

"No, no. I'm not--no. Connor, you can come out now, it's a hallucination."

A small voice, outside the door:

"I'm not a hallucination, Mr.Anderson! And your small fur-friend is very eager to eat the silicon lining of my scales! Could you please let me in?"

The voice is soft, kind. Almost reminiscent of the older AIs--Siri, Cortana. Alexa.

Connor shakily climbed out from under the table and walked over to hank, curious as to- "H- hank, is that.. a- a dragon?!"

"No. No it is not, we are not dealing with this, call Markus." "Please? I know I look quite scary, but I am a friendly dragon! I do not even breathe fire! Your house looks very nice, I promise I won't break anything!"

      Nines tilts his head, curious.
'Little brother? Do you and your human need me to go deal with the problem?'

'Please dont get hurt.' Connor responds to nines. "Hank, how.. how would markus be able to help with a dragon?!"

"I don't know! Ach." Nines stomps outside, murder in his gaze. Gavin watches the android go, frowning thoughtfully.
From outside--

"Hello! You have a very white jacket! Why is your shiny-circle very red like that? You see, mine is blue, like the ocean and her bubbles! But yours is red. Like fire!"

Hank looks from the door, to Connor, back to the door. "What the shit?"

"An.. an android dragon?!" Connor exclaims, half terrified and half excited. Should Nines let it in?"

"You see, Mr. Candy-circle, I was very interested in speaking with the fur-faced police officer. He has something that interests me greatly, and I would see it. Of course, only if he would have me! I would not want to intrude on delicate matters! One would know when one is not wanted, of course! You see, Mr. Shiny--oh, it is yellow now! Yes, very yellow! Like the sun! Or daisies! Or bananas! Or--"
"Um, i.. i dont know, maybe they would hurt someone.. i dont think they mean any harm, but.." connor mumbles nervously.

"Let's just go out there, then. Less chance of it hurting someone." Gavin shakes his head.
"It's a fucking /dragon,/ Anderson. Beast of legend? Ringing any bells, here?"
