Poetry is gay. Like, inherently, because who wants to read straight poetry?! Ew.
And, while poetry may be 'gay', the majority of men and women who partake in this writing form are not, in fact, homosexual.
Except for one young gay named Cloud. He wrote poems about his lovely boyfriend, Tor, and how gay they were.
It is difficult to draw the line between a purely homosexual artform and the lesser-known homoeroticism of said art. There are some great LGBT poets, such as Sappho, a bisexual/lesbian poet who wrote the "Ode to Aphrodite" and other romantic poems. Most of her poems, however, were written to be accompanied by a lyre.
Sounds pretty gay.
She was, at least, a little gay.
I mean, yeah, she's 98% lesbian.
