i got three yes's for this, so here it is.third person limited following Mima
when he got back to practice, he could see (y/n) absolutely fuming as she collected baseballs for the boys to hit.
"Mima! what did you do, man?" his captain called to him, jogging over. "(y/n) has been fuming since she got back. what happened?"
"nothing," he said quickly. "nothing happened."
"it doesn't look that way!" another teammate said, walking up to the two. "you fucked up somehow, dude. she's pissed."
"yeah! what actually happened?" four or five of his teammates were surrounding him now, all wondering why their beloved manager was pissed after a talk with Mima, their prized center fielder.
so he gave them the gist of what happened. he left out the part where he said that he wouldn't change his batting, but that's a secret between you and me, yeah?
"oh, you're fucked," his captain said bluntly. "good luck to you, my friend."
"just a manager? what the hell were you thinking, Mima! she does more for the team than anyone!" one vice captain exclaimed. "what do you plan on doing?"
"nothing." he didn't want to do anything in particular. he'd just let it blow over and let things go back to how they used to be. he didn't talk to (y/n) before, so why should he start now? "i'm not gonna apologize with flowers and chocolates. if she didn't want to hear it, she shouldn't have dragged me away to talk."
"i think apologizing with flowers and chocolates is exactly what you need to do, Mima!" his captain said, snapping his fingers. "if you go out of your way and do that, there's no way she can stay mad at you!"
there were a chorus of 'yeah!'s and 'that works, right?' Mima just shook his head.
"not gonna happen." there was no way he'd be doing that. he might as well make an announcement to the whole damn school, 'hey! i like (y/n)! i got her flowers and chocolates!' which is not true. he doesn't like (y/n). he tolerates her because he has to. if it was up to him, he'd never talk to her. ever.
"look, man. you have to do something. you can't just say shit like that and expect everything to be okay.
(y/n) can hold a grudge for years. i know that first hand," one vice captain explained."yeah!" the other one said. "if you, i don't know, help her out a bit, she might become less mad with you. help her clean up after practice. study with her and us and try to teach us things we need help with so she's not the only one doing it. stuff like that to lessen her load."
"that will work?" he asked hesitantly. all he needed to do was help her out a bit and this would all blow over? wow. that doesn't sound too hard.
"it should! but the flowers and chocolate offer still stands!" everyone chuckled, and Mima nodded.
"alright then! let's get this show on the road!" the captain yelled.
"yeah!" the team yelled back. they all jogged back to their practice stations. batting, the bullpen, fielding, running. Mima just went straight to running. he needed time to think.
was this a good idea? he wasn't so sure. but maybe, just maybe, (y/n) deserves some help with her duties once in a while. it wasn't fair for everyone to just expect her to do everything. they should all share in the cleaning up and stuff.
perhaps (y/n) really wasn't that bad. all she seemed to want was the best for the team. she said she cared about everyone, even Mima. that's hard to believe.
but was it a bad thing for him to sorta wish it was true?

uneditedso, there's that. this wasn't too bad, i think. i'll be doing one last part to this mini series, so look forward to that i guess.
i'm a sucker for people like Mima and Hongo. i know Hongo has a good dynamic with his team (not his coach, really), but we haven't seen much of Mima so far. i'm praying he does as well. i love teams that all get along (for the most part). Seidou is a prime example of how a team should get along. i want to see more of Hongo and Mima's teams.
comment down any requests and i'll see what i can do!
anyhow, i'll see you soon!
goodbye!
