i am literally SO sorry this took this long i just- lets move on for now D:
(y/n) had always hated her job. she didn't like working at this convenience store. but, it allowed her to buy the things she wanted, so she guessed it wasn't that bad. plus, she got a twenty-five percent off discount on most things in the store.
but there was one particular thing that made her shifts worth while.
there was this cute boy - Sawamura Eijun - who always seemed to need something from the store. wether it be deodorant or an energy drink, he was there almost everyday.
he kept up a constant chatter with her while she scanned his items. stuff like, "how was your day today?" or "today this boy - Miyuki-senpai - said..." and he proceeded to explain in full detail what went down.
it was really cute. she enjoyed talking to him because all her other customers wanted to get in and out quickly. but he wanted to talk to her. more than just the usual "did you find everything okay?"
he seemed to always bring the exact amount of money he needed. don't tell her boss this, but since he was never short on money she kinda just took his word for it and put the money in the register. plus he counted it out in front of her and he was cute when he was concentrating. she just stopped double checking.
but today, he was short on money. he had been getting a bunch of things today, and was short 500¥. this never happened, and he seemed very. . off today. jittery and nervous.
"oh jeez. i'm sorry, (y/n). uh, just put the shampoo back. i'll borrow some from my roommate." he scratched the back of his neck sheepishly.
"oh, it's okay Sawamura. i'll cover it for you." he started to protest but she rung up his items, took the money he had laid out on the counter and fished the remaining amount from her apron. "you need shampoo. i can't have you coming in here reeking of sweat."
"hey! i don't smell!" he exclaimed, patting his hair. she laughed. "well, then let me pay you back! what if you come to my game tomorrow and then i'll take you out for lunch!" he suggested.
"Sawamura Eijun. are you asking me out on a date?" she asked, putting a hand over her chest.
"uh, no. . ?"
"yes you did. and i humbly accept. how did you know tomorrow was my day off?" she asked, leaning forward onto the counter.
"a-a magician never reveals his secrets!" he said, face a pink mess.
"uh huh," she teased. "but! i will see you tomorrow! what time is your game?"
"noon sharp! but eat something before you come because the game may take a while!"
"noted! have a great evening!" she smiled brightly and waved him out of the store. if he had stayed any longer he would have seen her face burst out into a blushing mess as she hung her head, a wide smile on her face.
but his face looked the same. and all she could think of for the rest of her shift was how cute he looked when he blushed.

it is embarrassing how overdue this is. abby i'm so sorry. I just kinda forgot about any request so you can yell at me if you want. I deserve it.
I hope you enjoyed it though! it's not the best but I like it! I think it's cute.
