the continuation of the last Enjō one nobody asked for. i miss winter time ;(
third person limited following Enjō
he had always found her interesting. it just increased tenfold once she tried to throw a snowball at him.
and true to his word, he did teach her how to throw a baseball. he may or may not have gotten a few tips from a very confused Masamune (and sometimes his tips made no sense), but it was definitely worth it. and that's besides the point. he got to spend time with such a cute girl. anything would be worth it.
"so basically, i go like this, then swing my arm down like this and let go?" (y/n) asked him, demonstrating what she meant.
"pretty much. although, if that doesn't feel right i can try and teach you how to throw like a sidearm pitcher," Enjō said.
"i don't think that'll be necessary," she told him. "and honestly? i think i've got this in the bag. can i try pitching into your glove now?!"
she had been begging him for quite some time to do that, but today was the day he caved.
"fine." the smile on her face was adorable. Enjō walked to the other side of the indoor bullpen, where the catcher was supposed to be, and crouched down. he held up his glove and nodded to (y/n). she grinned widely and wound up her arm. she lifted her leg and just swung down her arm, placing her foot onto the ground firmly.
the ball wavered in the air - he had forgotten to teach her how to hold the ball - but it made it to his glove safely. it went smack into his glove and he smiled ear to ear.
"you did it!" he exclaimed.
she threw her arms up in the air and jumped up and down. "i did it!" Enjō stood up, but he was sent tumbling to the ground when (y/n) tackled him. he wrapped his arm around her waist securely so she didn't get hurt, and hugged her close.
"god, i love you," Enjō whispered. she stiffened in his grip and pulled away a bit.
"you love me?" she asked quietly. Enjō nodded, swallowing hard. but he needn't worry. "i love you too!"
he buried his face into the crook of her neck and smiled brightly. all was right with the world.

anyhow, i'm back at it again! i'll be updating here more frequently now, because i'm on summer break and i have like nothing else to do lmao.
