I thought you were a crush at first

I thought you were a crush at first.

After all, it was easy for anyone to drown in those ocean eyes.

But a crush is based on looks, crushing means to lust over someone, you can even crush on someone you've only met once.

And that's where the problem starts.

Because I didn't meet you just once, I met you everyday.

You were something so simple and mundane - my desk partner.

You were strange and out of place, always segregated from the rest, and I never once glanced your way.

But that didn't hide the fact that you were attractive in your own way, and I wonder, how did I not notice you before?

How did I not notice the way your eyelashes brushed your cheeks everytime you blinked? How did I not notice your eyes, those eyes that no one could miss, a brilliant blue, almost like the eyes of a black cat, a crashing star in the darkness. And everytime you blinked, your eyes were the waterfall.

Or maybe it's because I had a crush on you.

But you see, I don't have a crush on you.

I liked you.

Not because of your face, not because of your eyes, not because of your body, but because of your words. Your smile. Your damn personality.

I wish I got to know you sooner.

Because you're annoying, and smart but awfully oblivious to things, ignorant, but kind and forgiving, and you make me smile.

And I kinda want to kiss you.

Liking someone is dangerous.

Once you've talked to them, got to know them, you start developing feelings for that person, you start to really, really like them.

And it isn't really safe, it's not safe for me to like you.

If I veer too close to the thin line between like and love, what would happen?

Would you catch me if I fall?

Because I'm afraid to fall in love.

Author's Note
Hm it wasn't meant to be this way but I guess this can actually be seen as something like a prequel to the previous story.
