I smile at him and look away.

"What about Santiago?" I say, evasively.

"That the male you were playing around with a few days ago is your ex," Adonis says, raising his eyebrows.

I look around to see that people are listening to our conversation.

"We are going to talk about this," I say to Adonis. "Just not here. Las paredes tienen oídos."

Adonis looks around before nodding and grabbing my hand, leading us out of the room. We walk down an empty hallway and took a seat on the floor. Adonis looks at me without saying anything.

"Well," I said. "What do you want to know?"

"Were you really with him?" He asks.

"I dated him, yes, but did nothing more than peck him."

"Did you love him?" Adonis asks quietly.

"Honestly, the longer we were in the relationship, the more I thought of his as a good friend or a brother."

Adonis moves me so I'm sitting on his lap.

"Would you ever go back to him?" he whispers.

I kiss Adonis gently before whispering, "Never."

Adonis looks at before giving a small nod.

"Come on," I say. "Let's go get food."

I stand up and start walking towards the cafeteria, trusting Adonis will follow me.

"Do you think they'll have good food?" Adonis asks.

"Probably not," I say and shrug. "Nothing anyone can do. It's school food during a hurricane. Eat what you're given or die."

Adonis nods and we continue our walk to the cafeteria silently. We each got our food and were walking back to the room when someone called my name.

"Ky!" I turn around and see Laviana was walking over to us.

Adonis and I tense and look at each other.

"Isn't her father-" he starts.

"Who she believed is her father, yeah," I say. "And I still need to get her wings out."

"Where were you?" Laviana asks. "I was looking all over for you."

"Sorry." I wince.

"Where were you?" She asks again.

"With Adonis," I say and then turn to him. "Hey, can you do me a favor? Can you get everyone out of there? I'm just going to do it now, I feel like it'll be better to just get it over with."

Adonis nods and walks in the direction of the room.

"What was that about?" Laviana asks with her eyebrows furrowed.

I bite my lip and tell her to come with me.

"There are some things I need to tell you," I start. "It's about you and your family."

"What would you know about my family?" Laviana asks.

"Your real father," I say as we reach the room.

"What!" she yells.

"Yeah, that," I say.

I open the door to the room and see Adonis got the majority of the people out of the room.

"Hey!" I yell. "Everyone out!"

Everyone left and the only people in the room were Laviana and I.
