I look at all of them, my eyes slowly turning back to their onyx color. I move so I wasn't within their reach but could still hold a conversation with them. The silence is broken by King Triton.
"I am so sorry, your Majesty. They didn't know who you were."
I look at him with my eyebrows furrowed. My silence causes him to fidget a little in the water.
"You wouldn't have apologized if I weren't a Queen, correct?" His silence was a clear answer, one that made my opinion of him go down. I shake my head at him. "Such a pity. I hope that Rio doesn't turn out like them, but I feel that if Queen Riva has any say in her life, she'll turn out very respectful."
"Don't worry your Highness, Rio will be raised with an iron fist," King Triton says confidently. I notice how Riva turns to him, the idea not sitting well with her.
"You misunderstood me," I say to him. "I don't wish for her to be treated as though every little thing she does is going to matter, both of us know it won't. Let her be a child, have fun. Just make sure she doesn't grow up to be disrespectful like your son and your eldest daughter. You should also work on not treating people kindly just because of their status." King Triton looks at me, his jaw clenched. I narrow my eyes at him before speaking. "Back to the Hunter situation, would you be willing to become our ally?"
I can see the anger that lingers in his eyes, no doubt because I called his children disrespectful. Although I wouldn't care, I feel like his anger is going to influence his decision. He opens his mouth to speak but I cut him off before a word slips past his lips. "Don't make a decision when you're angry. If you need more time, let us know and we will come back here after we went to the others."
"We don't-" King Triton starts but is cut off by Riva.
"We will need to discuss this further. When you come back we will have a decision made. Thank you for giving us more time to make the decision."
I nod and smile kindly at her. "Of course. We will come back in most likely three days. Is that enough time?"
"More than enough," Riva answers. "Can you stay back for a minute or so, Ky? I'd like to speak with you."
I nod and Riva and I wait until everyone leaves King Tritons safe circle. I raise my eyebrows at her, silently asking what she wanted to speak about.
"I wanted to talk about you calling my children disrespectful," she says and I pale.
"I'm very sorry, your Majesty. It's just I don't like disrespect, it makes so many people feel bad about themselves and sometimes that turned into a really serious issue and-" I start rambling, but Queen Riva cuts me off.
"I wanted to say, thank you," she says and I look at her, shocked. "They are spoiled, bratty and disrespectful at times and everyone needed to hear it. Hopefully it will spark a change in them."
I let out a small sigh of relief and smile at her. "I'm so sorry I'm cutting our conversation like this, but I need to go speak with the other Kings and Queens."
"Of course, no need to worry. Thank you again for giving us time to think this through. We will see you soon."
"Bye Riva," I said as I watch her go underwater and disappearing into the dark.
"You're very different around royalty and when you act royal," Adonis says from behind me.
I roll my eyes at him. "How so?"
I start flying on the path Daeva set for me, waiting for Adonis's answer.
"You act very mature, at least a lot more mature than other fifteen year olds I've met."
