(Brooke's apartment above)
After I went home and showered, I cleaned up around the house. I don't know exactly why though. Evan never comes over to my place and I always end up at Renee's house or Lucy's apartment across the hall. But I do clean anyways. I water my oh-so-many dying plants that is scattered around my apartment. The building says no pets so I compromised. As I just finish cleaning my bathroom, my cell begins to ring the 'I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing' by Aerosmith. Evan. I giggle at the thought of my handsome boyfriend calling me around noon to check up on me. Or did I have work today?
I grab the phone and slide the green button over. Evan begins talking before I can get a 'Hello' out.
"Come over tonight." Evan's yummy deep voice makes smile like a complete idiot. "I'm making your favorite, Lasagna."
"It's nice to hear from you too." I say in a sarcastic tone, "But don't you think I've been spending a lot of time at your place lately? Especially with me sleeping over there?"
Evan is quiet for a minute or two. "No. In fact, you haven't been there enough sweetheart."
I smile dork like. "Okayyy, what time?"
"Does 5:30 sound convenient for you, Sweetheart?" I nearly squeal with glee at the nickname, "I get off work at 4:20 and I have to take Chase to the vet afterwards. But I will make sure to be back by 5 o'clock. He's getting a check up."
"Sure, that's fine." I pick at the loose strands of my hair, "Should I wear one of my two dresses for the occasion?"
"No, we're going casual tonight." I wanna drown in his deep voice, pleassssssseeeeeee!!!!!!! "Bring your duffle."
Evan wants me to stay the night again. This makes the third night in a row that I have slept over at his house. I'm starting to see a pattern. Should I be worried? I sure as hell hope not.
"I have work tomorrow." I picker my lip out pouting.
"So do I, but you're going to need your duffle."
I sigh. "Whatever you say, Baby. Whatever you say."

Apparently Evan and I have different meanings when it comes to 'casual attire'. To Evan, it's jeans and a nice shirt with a cardigan. To me, it's my tight Avengers t-shirt and denim overall shorts with my neon green converse. But, despite my appearance, Evan still pulled me in tight against him and gave me a huge kiss, leaving smudges on my glasses. Damn him for that. But he did make me a SUPER delicious dinner.
Dinner was going very well before Evan got a phone call. And guess who it was from? His dad, aka my boss. I could tell from Evan's face that it was not going to be a very good phone call. He told me to go ahead and eat so I continued eating as he began arguing on the phone with his father, my boss. And I wish he hadn't so I could snoop. That's so wrong of me.
I finished eating and cleaned up a bit, knowing how Evan hates to have dirty anything lying around. This morning, my dirty clothes were folded up and placed where they wouldn't be messed with. Evan really is a clean freak. But as long as I don't have to do the dishes or dust, I am fine with doing the rest.
After cleaning up, I sat on the couch and waited for Evan to come back inside. Chase, happy as ever, let me pet him for the longest time and even let me give him a few treats. But I grew bored and I wished my Baby would come back inside. I missed his presence so badly. I craved it. But I knew not to engage in his family/business affairs. If Evan wanted to tell me, he will have me sit on the far right cushion of the couch so he can lay his head down and let me therapeutically listen to all his rants. I only charge him kisses for his ranting time.
I go back to his bedroom and decide to hang tomorrow's clothes out. My tight, grey dress and black flats. When I get back to the living room, I can see that Evan is no longer arguing with his father. He's full on screaming.
Bored, I sit back down on the couch and cross my legs and arms in wait. After 5 minutes, I get an extraordinary idea. Going into the bar area, I grab 3 of the red Hefty cups that Evan uses on Sunday when football is on. I then grab his ping pong balls he has for when his little nephews come over. Lastly, I get a whiskey glass and half empty Jack Daniels. I set my game out in the hall and sit down at a distance from the three cups. Chase follows me and sits down next to me confused. He whines as he waits for me to play.
My eyes locked on the farthest cup, I bounce the ping pong against the floor and it goes into the first cup. I frown. Practice Brooke, practice! I do this several times but when I miss I take a shit if whiskey. The hard liquor burns in my throat and leaves me coughing.
After a while, I hear heavy footsteps walking my way. Chase goes and greets Evan at the entryway. Evan pets him before leaning against the wall with a devilish smirk.
"What are you doing, Silly Girl?" He smirks.
I bounce the ping pong ball and it lands in the second furthest cup. Gleeful cheers escape my lips as I clap for myself. Evan smirks and walks over. He sits down with me in between his thighs, his front to my back. He wraps his muscular arms around me and lightly sways.
"Is everything okay, Baby?" I push my glasses up from the tip of my nose.
Evan smiles and kisses me lightly on the neck, lightly nodding. Everything is not okay. I hold his muscular arms and let him sway us. His father easily gets on his nerves and it shows a lot. I actually think I hear him sniff but before I could ask him what's wrong, he grabs a ping pong ball and bounces it against the floor. And that sucker makes it to the third cup. My mouth drops in shock but I still clap happily and kiss Evan. He lightly pulls away from me.
"You're buzzed." He says concerned, pulling a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
"And you're Woody." I chuckle at him drunkly.
Evan pours himself an extra large glass and swallows it all whole. He groans and goes back to holding me tightly. We play the ping pong game for a while and he starts to get the hang of it when it somehow turns into a competition. He purposely messes me up and I somehow ended up on the floor with him on top kissing me. Then it all got dark.
