(Picture of Evan and Brooke Taylor's wedding Above *WARNING: HUGE time skip of four months & its REALLY LONG*)
* Third person POV*The Seattle church is filled with joyous chatter. Evan stands with Drew at the alter, his hands are shaking. He can't wait to see Brooke in her dress. They changed their minds on their former wedding ideas and they went traditional. Just the way Evan originally wanted.
Drew pats him on the back. "Nervous?"
"Excited." Evan nods, nervously laughing. "I can't wait to be married."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Renee makes the finishing touches on Brooke's makeup, Terri tears up at the sight of her friend. Kayla squeals happily, jumping for joy.
"Do you think Evan will like it?" Brooke blushes, feeling insecure about her looks.
Kayla takes her friends hand. "I bet he won't be able to take his hands off of you!"
The girls squeal with happiness. Brooke looks up at Renee, whose smoothing doesn't the wrinkles in the dress. She takes her friend hand.
"Are you sure you up to walking me down the isle?" Brooke says nervously, "EVERYONE will be staring."
Renee smiles. "Absolutely!"
Suddenly, the organ wedding tune plays throughout the church. Brooke quickly gets into her spot in front of the bridesmaids, Renee holding her arm. Brooke bites her lip nervously.
"Your parents would have been so proud of you." Renee says right as the church doors open.
The flower girl and ring bearer goes first, running down the isle instead of walking. Everyone laughs at it. Then Terri and Kayla walk with their husbands down the isle, taking their time. With one last squeeze, Renee and Brooke begins to walk down the isle. Everyone awws and ooohs over Brooke. She blushes bright pink, looking ahead at her love. Evan stands there with his mouth curled into a huge smile and his eyes wide and teary. Renee stops at the stairs, her hands now holding onto Brooke's. The pastor, confused, looks around.
"Who gives this woman to this man?" The pastor says loudly.
Renee and Brooke smile at each other, Renee pats her shoulder.
"I do, in place of her father and mother." Renee says teary eyed, kissing Brooke's cheek.
Evan steps down and Brooke takes his arm happily. Renee nods to her and takes her gorgeous bouquet, standing in front of Kayla and Terri. Evan and Brooke step up to the platform, their hearts racing. Evan's hand slides down his love's arm and his fingers intertwine with hers.
"Dearly beloved, we have gathered here to bring this man and this one together in holy matrimony. If anyone objects to this marriage speak now or forever hold your peace." No one peeps a word, the Pastor continues on. "Do you, Evan Robert Taylor, take this woman whose hand you now hold, to be your lawfully wedded wife; and do you solemnly promise before God and these witnesses to LOVE, CHERISH, HONOR AND PROTECT HER: to forsake all others for her sake; to cleave unto her, and her only, until death shall part you?"
Evan squeezes Brooke's hand tightly. "I do."
The pastor looks to Brooke, who squeezes Evan's hand tightly, smiling happily. She's ready.
"Do you, Brooke Ellis Adams, take this man who now holds your hand, to be your lawfully wedded husband; and do you solemnly promise before God and these witnesses to LOVE, CHERISH, HONOR AND PROTECT HIM, to forsake all others for his sake; to cleave unto him and him only, and him forever until death shall part you?"
Brooke looks up into Evan's blue eyes, her heart soaring. "Forever. I do."
The pastor turns to Evan, who stares deep into Brooke's eyes happily.
"Evan Robert Taylor, REPEAT AFTER ME: I, Evan Robert Taylor, take thee, Brooke Ellis Adams, to be my wedded wife . . . to have and to hold...from this day forward . . . for better or worse . . . for richer, for poorer.. in sickness and in health . . . till death do us part . . . and thereto I plight my troth. (or pledge my faithfulness)."
Evan repeats it, his eyes locked on Brooke's. They hold each other's hands tightly, never wanting to let go. He kisses her hand tenderly, his thumb rubbing over her knuckles.
The pastor turns to Brooke. "You said you had your own vows, my dear?"
Brooke nods, continuing to stare deep into her lovers eyes.
"Evan, when I first met you, I knew you didn't want me the way I always wanted to be wanted. But we grew together. You became protective over me and shielded me from the people who wanted to tears us apart—which was quite a few people." Evan chuckles, "You've broke my heart and mended it back together so many times. You always came back to me. You never lost hope in me." Brooke pauses, feeling tears swell up in her eyes, "The first time I realized that I loved you was when you when you introduced me to your family as your girlfriend—the first time you ever even called me your girlfriend actually—and ever since then, after hearing all the negative things people say about us and our relationship—I just want to grow old with you. 20 years from now, I want to see you in your shorts with your greying hair, is arguing over something completely stupid as always, your eyes and voice still my favorite things about you, next to your tremendously big heart. I can't imagine living in a world without you Baby. I think I'd lose my mind, completely off my rocker. But I will always love you. I cannot imagine ANYONE else that I want beside me for the rest of my life besides you. Sickness or in good health! Whether we are rich or we're poor. I will always put your needs before my own. Forever and always, Baby."
Tears fall down Brooke's face, as does Evan's. Everyone is choked up, even the pastor. The pastor looks to Evan.
"Do you have any words, Mr. Taylor?" The pastor grins happily at the tearful man.
"Well, I did—but I can't remember them in this moment." Evan swings Brookes arm with his, his thumb rubbing her knuckles. "I guess I will be honest and tell my wife what I truly feel deep in my heart. That's all I think I can do."
Brooke blushes, "That's all I ask."
"Brooke, my Baby, my Sweetheart, my Honey, my Princess," Evan starts out with "I haven't been the beets partner to you. I've broke your heart, made you cry, made you angry, made you wait on me—I'm not a perfect man, not as you sometimes view me as. You're so beautiful, especially now. I am going to make it my life's duty to make up for all those terrible times, and what is yet to come. I cannot even imagine calling anyone else my Baby or my Princess or even my Wife. I'm never going to stop loving you for the rest of my life, life or after death. No one can ever replace my Brooke. My silly, tender, sweet, selfless, lovable Brooke."
Brooke wraps her arms around Evan's neck and gives him a huge kiss, both their tears mixing into the kiss. Evan's arms wrap around Brooke's body and he pulls her tightly against him, feeling her smile in the kiss.
The pastor chuckles. "You may kiss the groom."
Everyone laughs at the pastors comment. Brooke slowly lets go of Evan, their hands not willing to let each other go. She burst out laughing at the pink lipstick on his lips, rubbing it off his lips with her thumb.
"Rings!" The pastor cheers, looking to the ring bearer.
Brooke takes Evan's ring and he takes her ring that he picked out himself. Brooke covers her mouth while teary eyed at how beautiful the ring is. Evan went above and beyond for her.
Brooke takes Evan's hand and slides his ring on his finger. "With this ring, I tee wed to this man till death do us part."
Evan sniff, wiping his teary eyes. He gently takes Brooke's hand in his and takes the ring and slides it on gently.
"With this ring, I thee wed to this woman till only death do us part." Evan kisses her hand sweetly, his gentle tears falling down onto her hand.
Both Evan and Brooke make eye contact, sniffing at how happy the are. The pastor looks between them expectantly.
"Well, kiss him again!" Everyone laughs at the pastors words.
Brooke grabs Evan's face and her lips attach to his. Everyone cheers and whistles at them. Brooke puts her hands on Evan's chest, he wraps his arms around her small body happily. The cheers, clapping, and whistles get louder. Evan can feel Brooke's smile through their kiss. They're finally husband and wife.
