            I could barely hear the doorbell ringing because the guys were so damn loud. When I opened the door, Lucy stood there with a full face, hair curled, and wearing her favorite skinny jeans. She has a container of sugar cookies from the store. My favorite! I let her in and hugged her happily.
"Wow, Brooke." Lucy says to me, "You're all dressed up."
I look down at my overalls and Evan's t-shirt that is too baggy on me. I shrug it off and motions for her to follow me. Just as we enter the living room/kitchen/man cave, I run smack dab into Evan. I giggle when he catches me, giving me a sweet peck on the lips.
"Evan, this is Lucy." I say happily, loving how his muscular arm wraps around my body. "Lucy, this is my Baby."
Evan and Lucy awkwardly shake hands.
"I've heard a lot about you." Lucy looks to me with that look in her eyes.
Even smirks, pecking my temple. "So have I. Thank you for coming, Lucy."
Evan goes back to the game with the guys and I guide Lucy over to the food. FOOOODDDDDDD!!!!!! I feel bad for not inviting Renee and Brenton. I really do! But Renee is pissed off at me and Brenton doesn't like Baseball. Renee says that he varies between video games and surfing. Depending on the day.
Lucy jumps when she hears the guys all loudly cheer. I giggle as she blushes pink. We fix our plates (it being my second one) of nachos, chili, or pizza. Chase runs up and whines for Lucy to drop him a bite. I stop her before she can. Chase is on a special diet and cannot eat human food, just his doggie food like the Vet said.
We sit at the bar and eat, I grab a water and a a light beer for Lucy. Not that I know her little secret, I don't feel bad for the guys drinking around her. I'm truly the only one who isn't drinking some type of alcoholic/light alcoholic drink.
              Lucy leans into me. "There are ALOT of hot guys here!"
              I give her a look. "You mean, hot OLDER guys?"
              When I first began dating Evan, I immediately told Renee and Lucy. They BOTH told me that older men were going to lose their looks and sex drive and just wanted to use me for sex. And now Lucy thinks a room full of men, whose 10 years or older, are hot! Wow. Nice to see she has come to the dark side. Or to the light, seeing that being attracted to an older man is okay.
              "Oh, hey!" I turn to see Austin Hood, one of the sexiest guys here. "You ladies having a nice time?"
                I nod. "Yeah, it's—"
                 The guys boo loudly, making me chuckle. We both shrug with a light smile. When I turn back to Lucy, she is completely frozen. Her blue eyes are wide and her lips form a perfect O. Austin goes back to the guys. Evan winks at me from his favorite recliner chair, biting his lower lip as he smooths his groomed beard down.
                "OH. MY. GOD! Brooke, he was—" Lucy whispers in my ear, her blue eyes wide and excited "WOW!"
                I roll my eyes at her, taking a bite of my nachos. "If you like him so much, why don't you just go ask him on a date?"
               "I don't want to seem desperate." She says sadly, pouting her plate aside.
                I cram a piece of pizza in my mouth. "I think that ship sailed a while back, Lou."
                  "And shouldn't he ask ME out? I mean, he probably would never be interested in some like me anyways." Lucy looks down sadly.
                  I put my hands on my hips. "The hell is that supposed to mean? Don't you understand you're gorgeous? EVEN FOR A CURVY GIRL? You deserve a hot hunk of man like that."
                     "Can you talk to him for me? Oh please don't embarrass me!" Lucy says awkwardly.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
               So after the stupid game was over, the guys say around and talked politics. Usually, I'd leave since I hate that shit, but I lingered and chatted with Austin. So, turns out, he's a really cool guy:
        1 He's a retired professional bull rider and 2. now works on his uncle's ranch. 3. Austin is single. 4. He was born in Austin, Texas. 5. He enjoys spending time with cattle and 6. fixing things with his hands. 7. He perfects horses and cows over dogs and cats. 8. He's guilty of singing modern pop songs. 9. His favorite candy is Jolly Ranchers. 10. He is an only child.
                  I was really glad that he didn't try to walk away after I grilled him with so many questions. After a while, I had to let him go back to the guys. Lucy had come back from the bathroom and I filled her in on everything Austin said. And oh damn, did Lucy get hyped up.
As I am cleaning up the kitchen a bit, a strong pair of hands grabs my waist and someone kisses the top of my head. Evan. I bite my lip at his touch.
"Hey, Baby." I say sexily.
"Princess?" He fest his head on my shoulder, "Why did Austin come tell me that you grilled him with personal questions? Are you trying to find a backup in case something happens to me?"
I turn around, wrapping my arms around his neck. He pulls me closer to him, his eyes focused on my lips and his nose just barely touching my forehead.
"No, no Baby. Lucy thinks Austin is hot, but she's too shy and has absolutely no experience with guys whatsoever." I look him dead in the e as I speak, "So I thought I would just help her out."
Evan gives me a look. One that boils my water per say. He pulls my hair back as he tries to find his words. To put it in a nice way so it won't hurt MY feelings. I can tell by the look on his face.
"Princess, Lucy seems like a sweet girl, but—" I cut Evan off real quick. This isn't the first time someone has started that sentence.
"Well that's really too bad." I say sharply, causing Evan to look at me alarmed. "Because Lucy's wife material. She deserves to be happy with some guy. One date wouldn't destroy that bastard, would it?"
Evan stares at me dumbfounded, his mouth wide open in shock. I cross my arms from him so he can't go in and try to hold me. I know Lucy can be annoying and no, she's not a tight little thing. But she's still gorgeous and worthy to have a handsome man in her life.
"You know, I used to be just like Lucy." I add on to my prior statement, "I thought I wasn't good enough for somebody like you and now look at me. I still wonder."
I quickly move and walk around the counter. Evan tried to grab me and pull me back but I mange to escape from his grasp. I go to Lucy and ask her if she would want to take a walk. When he head outside, I give Evan a dirty look before walking out the door.
