*Brooke's POV*

I parked HULK in a shaded part of a park. I fell asleep and woke up two hours later by thunder and lightening across the cloudy, dark sky. Scared of the thunder lightening, I drove home.
When I got home, the garage and front porch lights were already on for me. I expected multiple cars to still be there but just Drew's souped up 4 wheel drive remained. I pulled into my spot in the garage and pushed the button for the garage door to close. My heart pounds. Evan didn't sound happy when I talked to him last. I doubt he's in any better mood since it's thunder and lightening outside and I'm just now getting home.
When I step into the house, I can hear Chase and Oreo barking and howling through the house. I hear Evan's voice and a couple others. I slowly make my way to the living room.
"Fuck, I'm a complete idiot!" Evan sounds scared, "She's terrified of thunder and lightening! She shakes every time she—"
Thunder roars, shaking the house. I tremble at the sound, shaking from the terrible sound. God, I hate the thunder and lightening.
I peak my head out from the corner of the mini hallway to see Evan pacing the floor with his hands behind his head. He looks like a mad man. Drew and Derrick sitting on the couch, watching Evan go mad.
"Baby?" I say softly.
Everyone turns to me then. In a flash, Evan rushes over to me. His arms fiercely grabs my biceps and he jerks me around. I see that he has a cut lip, as if someone had punched him and his knuckles are bruised too.
"Where the hell have you been?!" Evan says half angry, half worried. "God, I've been worried sick! You can't drive in this weather!"
I put my hand on his chest, pushing him slightly away. "Oww, you're hurting me!"
Evan blinks a few times. He straightens up, his strong grip on me loosens. His hands move to my hips, pulling me into his space. His hands brush strands of hair out of my face.
"After you told me to wait for an hour, I fell asleep in HULK." I explain myself, handing him my dead phone. "My phone died and I couldn't call you."
"Thank God." Evan wraps his arms around me, "I thought God awful things might have happened to you."
I gently put my hands on Evan's chest, standing on my tippy toes. Our noses bump against each other. I stare deep into those blue eyes of his.
"Well, I'm safe now." I say smoothly, sweet as honey. "You've got me."
Evan holds me as my tippy toes go numb, he attaches our lips and breathes me in. My body melts into him as his hand holds he back of my head closer to him. Tears slightly fall down my face. I'm safe. I'm home. I need to show him that letter that I wrote about him.

"I cannot believe Nick did what he did!" Evan paces the floor of his home office angrily.
After Drew and Derrick went to bed, Evan took me into his private office and we started having that conversation he promised me.
"Like Preston?" Evan freezes as he leans against the office desk, his knuckles white as he grips the red wood. "Have I ever lied to you? Given you any reason NOT to believe me?"
Evan does not answer me. He just sits there staring at the floor. What should I do? I pull out my letter, of all things.
"Evan, I know this isn't the BEST time to bring it up but I need you to know how I feel about you." I say awkwardly, pulling the note out of my pocket. "I was going to wait and put some of it in my wedding vows but I didn't know if you still wanted to marry me."
Evan smirks, stomping his foot on the carpet. "Of course I do."
I hand him the letter, he reads it throughly. Taking his time. He smiles happily, his eyes looking at me.
"Aww, Baby." His hand grabs mine, "This is sweet."
I blush, looking down. Evan stands up and grabs my other hand, pulling me up. He wraps me in his arms, lightly swaying.
"Come on," He says softly "lets go to bed."
