Project Meeting

Dire-diretso ang trabaho ngayon araw. Kakatapos lang namin mula sa rehearsal ng action scenes, narito na naman kami sa meeting room ng station para i-introduce ang mga makakasama ko sa movie.

I'm already exhausted. Kung makakapagpahinga man ako ay sandali lang din. Idagdag pa ang kaunting problema ko sa business ni Dad. Ipinagsasabay ko 'yon sa pagsasanay ko rito kaya dumarami ang iisipin ko.

"Your leading lady will be here today. Are you comfortable working with anyone else?" tanong sa akin ng executive producer, si Mrs. Tanquezon.

I nodded politely. "I have no problem, Ma'am."

"We're also finalizing the supporting actors. Iyong iba ay hindi makuha ang scenes kaya pinalitan. Darating ngayon ang mga napili kasama ang female lead." ani Direct.

"Have you read the script, Arvie?" Tita Janny asked me.

"Yeah,"

"Good. Para iyong commercial mo sa eyewear na lang ang i-oorganize ko."

"Oh, nandiyan na pala sila."

Pumasok ang mga pamilyar na artista sa room. Ngumiti ako at bumati. Elaine waved at me and sit beside my chair. Behind her is the Girls' Sentinels who will be singing the theme, at saka pumasok ang babaeng nagpagulat nang sobra sa akin.

Elvira entered the room and smiled to the production team. Nanatili ang tingin sa kanya hanggang sa mapatingin din siya sa akin. She smiled to me and sit to her chair.

Napakurap ako. I didn't know she will be part of the production.

"So, I guess we're complete." anang director. "Ark, Elaine is your new leading lady. Will you be okay with that?"

"I'm sorry. I'm not against Elaine but why not Elvira? Ark and Elvira tandem is seriously famous right now. They already have a huge random."

"Iyon din sana ang plano but Elvira refused. She's afraid she can't execute the scenes well because she's not very experienced. And our painter here has a really jampacked sched. Hirap na nga isingit ang sched na ito, e."

"Elvira still earned her role as Elaine's sister in the movie, so it's not really a problem."

"She'll be kidnapped here habang nanonood ng concert na gagampanan naman ng Girls' Sentinels, right? Ark, which role is the Lt. Commander, will save her from the perpetrators. That's how the scene one goes." Elvira's manager muttered.

Elvira turned to everyone and smiled. "I have no problem with the role. I'm fine with anything."

"See? She's professional!"

I was staring at everyone, a bit confused. Tumikhim sa tabi ko si Elaine, tumatawa sa reaksyon ko.

"Pumipintig ba nang sobra, Ark?" she teased.

I looked at her.

"Kanina ka pa nakatitig kay Elvira."

Umiling ako at ngumisi. "I'm staring at everyone. And I also didn't expect her to be part of the project."

"Kasi first time na nagkasama kayo sa isang movie, hindi ba?"

I shrugged.

"Hindi naman sa inyo focus ang story. Bakit kabadong-kabado ka?" pang-aasar niya.

I grimaced at her. She chuckled. Hindi ko inaasahan si Elvira rito pero hindi naman ako kabado dahil nandito siya.

Ilang sandali pa ay on forum na kami. The director explained some important details of the movie before we proceeded to script reading. After the rehearsal and discussion, the production team called the meeting a day. Everyone bid their goodbyes while Tita Janny called me.
