Chapter 32Just Crush
I know that shouldn't be my concern. Si Arvie naman ang ipapakilala, hindi ako. That's why I don't understand why it's always seems bothering me the whole time.
Still introduce by of course, the diligent Arvie. He's so wide reader that I think there's no book he didn't know. Over exaggerating but he really reads a lot. Especially about arts and business books.
"Try to read Bo Sanchez, Paulo Coelho and Robert Kiyosaki books about financials. Their books lead to good start."
I'm into reading too but not as wide as he.
"About financials? Hindi naman ako masyadong mahilig doon."
"That's why give it a try to read. Baka makahiligan mo na." He smirked.
Naningkit lamang ang mga mata ko. I pouted and glanced to his bookshelf again. Not really on my interest. I rather read romance novel than that.
It really caught my interest especially when there's one shelf bounded only for all arts and paintings books and brochures.
He makes it sound too interesting kaya sa huli'y napapatigil na lamang ako at nakinig sa kanya.
"What's this book all about?" tanong ko at ipinakita sa kanya ang nakuhang libro.
He smiled. "It's all about ways of how to love. It's one of my favorite novel by Antoine de Mello."
"Is this a romance novel?"
"No. It's all about false beliefs of humankind."
Tumango ako at ibinalik ang libro sa lalagyan. Bumunot ulit ako ng isang may kakapalang aklat at ipinakita sa kanya.
"And this?" tanong ko at binasa ang aklat.
"It's The Count of Monte Cristo. About betrayals and sacrifices."
"And this one?"
"Bad Blood by Linda Fiersten?"
I licked my lower lip. "Yes."
"It's about crimes and tunnel explosions that creates big problems at New York times. That's somehow connected to her best selling book the Death Dance."
Napaawang ang bibig ko. I thought he was just reading books that's according to his interest like arts and financials but look at him now! He also reads books like this!
Gosh, Arvie! How to be you po?
How will I believe that?
"Pahumble pa, Arvie."
