M A X I M U S

I'm currently looking to this weak creature standing in front of me, shaking and crying helplessly.

I know that everyone inside this cafeteria is watching us, but I don't give a damn. Besides, the students can't do anything. All they can do is watch us and shut their mouths.

"What now, weakling? Lick King's shoe."

Cindy suddenly said. I bet she's already bored and hungry.

I looked again to this weak creature, waiting for him to lick my shoe.

"You're making me wait, and you're wasting my time. Lick it now, or you'll never see the sunshine again."

He immediately kneels and moves his face closer to my shoe. That's right, fear me and obey me.

He's about to lick my shoe when someone spoke.

"Why would he lick your shoe? He just accidentally spilled a coffee to your shirt; I bet you can buy a new one since you look so rich."

I looked to the girl who spoke, and she doesn't look so familiar. I guess she's just new here. Hm, a transferee.

"And who are you?"

Lauren asked her with full of disgust.

I'm still staring at this new girl; she doesn't look scared. I can't read any fear on her face — a fearless girl. Interesting.

"And why would I tell you?"

She asked back while staring at Lauren. She doesn't show any emotions, and I can't even read her.

Her two girlfriends are pulling her and asking her to stop, but she's not listening. I bet she's a stubborn one.

I can't stop myself from smirking while staring at her; she looked at me with her bored facial expression. We stare to each other, and no one is breaking the eye contact.

"Let him go and forget what he did. Besides, he didn't even mean it. It was just a pure accident."

She stated while slowly walking to our direction and still keeping the eye contact between us. She stood proudly in front of me, rolled her eyes, and looked to the helpless creature kneeling at me. She helped him stand and looked at me again.

Cindy and Lauren are about to attack her, but Kelly and Dustin stopped them.

We keep on staring at each other like as if we don't have any plan to break this eye contact. She smirked and eventually turned her back while helping the guy.

She stopped walking and looked back on us.

"Before I forgot, Scarlet Celine Flammia is the name. Nice meeting you, Royalties."

She smirked and continued walking away again.

I keep on staring at her back while smirking. This is the very first time that someone talked back to me just like that, especially it's a girl and she dared to stop me from what I was doing.

"King, why did you let her do that? She disrespected you!"

"You just let her disrespected you like that!"

Cindy and Lauren said angrily. I know they feel so irritated because I let that girl talked back at me like that, well, fearlessly.

"Just let her."

I simply said.

"I guess nakahanap ka na nang katapat, Max. She's so brave and fearless."
