I sat in the doctors office, waiting for an ultrasound with Chris. I rested my head on his shoulder, I was exceedingly exhausted and hardly got any sleep last night. "Evans." The lady announces at the door, looking through her clipboard.
I stood up, slightly losing my balance. Chris wraps his arms around my waist, helping my walk. The doctor smiles, "Hi, I'm Dr. Mitchell and I'll do your ultrasound today." She greets, showing us the way to one of the rooms.
I sat down on the table, lifting my shirt up. Chris sat on my left, grabbing my hand. She applies the cold gel onto my stomach, I slightly flinch as the cold touched my skin.
She puts the camera onto my small bump, and I heard the heartbeat of a human. I look up at Chris, who was staring at the ultrasound. "Do you guys want to know the gender?" Dr. Mitchell asks, a smile on her lips.
I look up at Chris, nodding my head. "Do you?" I ask him. He nods, "Yes, please."
"Do you want photos?"
Chris nods his head again, "Yes."
"Okay, I'll put the gender in an envelope, and you guys can read it once you get home or in the car." She says, writing down on a piece of paper. she folds it, dropping it into the envelope.
"I'll be right back with the photos."
"What do you think the baby is?" Chris asks, looking down at me. I shrug my shoulders, "I'm okay with whatever, honestly."
He smiles, leaning down to kiss my cheek. "I'm okay with anything, as long as it's your baby."

I step into the house, kicking off my shoes. "Baby, go sit upstairs, I'll bring you some water." Chris says, putting his jacket on the coat rack. "You don't have to do that, Chris. I can still do things without a problem."
He sighs, wrapping his arms around my waist, "I know, babe. I just want to help you as much as I can with this pregnancy. I love you."
"Baby, I love you, too." I tell him, wrapping my arms around his torso. I felt his lips lightly press on the top of my head, "Wanna take a nap?" He asks.
I giggle to myself, nodding my head. "Of course." I make my way upstairs, a little help with the railing. I enter my bedroom, dropping my purse on the floor. Chris enters behind me, throwing off his shirt and jumping on the bed. I climb up on the bed, leaning my head against his shoulder.
"Do you think I'll be a good mom?" I ask him, grabbing hands to play with them. He nods his head from besides me, "Of course you will."
I shrug my shoulders up and down in doubt, not believing his word. "Our baby is going to be beautiful." I murmur.
"I know." He says, smiling up at me as he was laying down on the bed.
