When our breakfast is all gone and the dishes put away (in the dishwasher, duhhhh), we all check our bags to make sure we have everything. Lucky me! I forgot my cell phone.
"Oops, forgot my phone..." I tell them, sighing. Jogging back up to my room, I stuff the baby blue phone with the rest of my stuff and head back. Locking the door, we make our long walk to school and are there ten minutes early. Hey, I'm not complaining! Extra practice - and we really could use it! I throw my bag on the bench and grab a soccer ball. I like mine better (it is a mixture of rainbows) but this will do the trick. I drop the ball and let off a pass to Twi, who walks down the field towards the center. We divy up the teams and I'm with Twi and Flit. Against us are Jackie, Unicity, and Peony. It may seem easy, with only six of us on the field, but I can tell we are all good at this sport. Not so easy when you are up against those who are just as good as you, am I right?
"Good luck to both 'teams'!" I say, making the quotations in the air with my fingers. After all, we are all as one, not separated. The game begins in three.......two.....one..... and we're on! I take the ball and dribble downfield. Unicity jumps in front of me, blocking my path. She steals the ball and goes the other way. Skidding to a stop, I soon find myself right next to her and kick the ball away, giving it to Flit. She squeals, and lets the ball hit her in the shoulder before sprinting downfield. I go alongside her,and soon we have a little friendly competition in play. The ball gets closer and closer to our goal... No! I dive in front of Peony and steal the ball before she can shoot. Right in front of our goal, I kick the ball. It flies into the air, and..... makes it into the other goal! Woot woot! That must have gone at least 15 feet in the air! Wow, I didn't know I had it in me!!!
"Woooooo hoooo!!!" I scream, thrusting my fist in the air. Everyone else just stares at me in shock. I'm back, ladies! Just then, I hear clapping. Wha - glancing over at the benches, I see that the rest of the team has arrived and seen be do that. Okaaayyyyy that's embarrassing!
"Thank you, thank you," I grin, bowing to those in front of me. That just makes them start laughing. Bolt is definitely the loudest of them all.
"Dash.... how on Earth did you do that?!?" Twi asks me. The grin falls from my face.
"I'm honestly not sure - I just did it. Ya think it has to do with the 'recent developments'?" I ask, confused.
"I don't know, but be careful! We don't need anyone becoming suspicious. Just get the meeting started, okay? Ms.Hornfeather isn't here today, and you're the team captain." Fine, whatever.
"Okay, listen up! We're going to begin with some warmups, okay?" I shout.
"Okay!" Everyone enthusiastically yells back.
"Now get out there and give me 20!" I yell, and everyone immediately starts running around the field. I join them, and am surprised (well, not THAT surprised - I'm awesome) that I am faster than them. Well, I WAS running a lot this summer. I guess it just adds up after a while. After 3 minutes, the rest are exhausted. Not me! Neither is the rest of my radical friends. Woot woot! As the rest of the soccer team runs to a stop, I stand in the center, ready to verse them in a game. Going against your own team may not give you as much adrenaline, but it still works for the practice.
"I call versing Dash, Twi, Jackie, Bryan, Luke, and Carlos!!!" Bolt shouts. On his team is Flash, Patrick, Josh, Peony, Unicity, and Flit. Yes, it will be a 6v7, but I have no doubt my team will win. After all, I AM on it, am I right? Wow, I just said 'am', like, 2 times in the same sentence. Oh, joy. Lucky me! We all line up, with me and Twi as offense, Jackie as midfield, Luke and Carlos as the defense, and Bryan as the goalie. Nicely for us, he is the TEAM'S goalie. We have an advantage, but then, they also have one more player than us. Hey, I'm not complaining! The game is ON! The goalies count down, and the game begins. Again. Here goes nothing!

When it's 15 minutes before school starts, we all stop. I take the ball and put it back with the other gym equipment and grab my bag. Ohhhhh what should I tell everyone when they see my bandage and a few blue feathers?!?!? In our school, we change in the same locker room. Well, guys get one room and girls get the other. Otherwise..... yeesh. I don't even want to think about it. Well, I guess I could say I slipped and fell in California, which gave me a big.... scratch? Hopefully, no one will notice. Or, we could say it is to help keep our posture right. Boooorrrrriiiiiinnngggg. Like I would ever do that. Well, I guess the same would be for Twi and Flit. I'll just ignore them, or pretend like it was something serious and I don't want to talk about it. That might work. Going over to my locker (#238) I open the lock and door. A lot of people don't even bother to lock theirs, which I find rather ironic. One time, I had someone next to me who did that. The lock was closed, but the door was open (so that way, it appeared it was locked, although it was sssooooo obvious that it wasn't). Well, eventually I got tired of it. I slammed the door shut, and it locked. Ummm 'oops?'. No, it was actually really funny. I didn't even push it that hard!!! Honestly, that was great. Also, one time I took the lock off and put it on the locker above that they used for their gym shoes. You aren't supposed to do that, by the way. No, there was nothing in there, cause it was a Friday. Ohhhh man, they never even figured it out! I mean, their lock was obvious because they had colored the numbers with a marker! Like, really? Giggling to myself, I take off my shirt and change into my regular light blue. I also put on my black pants and stuff everything else in my locker. Hmmm... what to do with this bag... Whatever. I smush that in there as well. Oh, wait, it's a Friday! Duhh I was just talking about it. Facepalm. Sighing, I open the door and sort everything out. Right, today we don't change for gym because it's a shortened period. Later on, we have an assembly. Luckily, no one has noticed me yet. Or, if they have, they didn't say anything.
"Hey, everyone! Remember, we don't have to change in gym today! The assembly shortens it down!" I yell, continuously throwing things into the bag. My fingers brush the lightning bolt Unicity embroidered on there, and I smile to myself. I do love that symbol.
"Thanks, Dash!" My team members yell back. Ironically, the only girls on the team are me and my pals. The rest are just boys. I guess the girls were too busy obsessing over their makeup to notice the sign for tryouts. Or, they couldn't care less. Probably both. I tug the zipper closed and hop out the door. Not literally! You know what I mean. As the rest of the team files out into the gym, the bell rings, and off we go to start a new school day.

Aggghhhh it's been so long since I updated! Well, maybe not THAT long, but it feels like it! I am super excited that I have everything for my RD costume, except for the cutie mark necklace. Well, still. I am practically in love with the tail, and the 'mane' is great, too. School has been so busy the last week, and so that has caused me to just wanna flop in front of the TV when I get home.
