Flying Freedom (ON HOLD)

Chapter 34

I shrug my shoulders, looking around the room to see if anyone else needs to say anything. Everyone remains silent, which agitates Twi.

"Seriously, guys, we need to know what happened!" she sighs, looking around the circle. We nod, confused and trying to figure it our ourselves.

'Does that mean I need to tell them about me and Jerome?' Flit's voice asks. We all turn to look at her.

"Whaaaaaaaaaat?" she asks, trying to act as though nothing was 'said'. We just keep staring at her. Finally, Twi uses her magic to lift Flit into the air and hang her upside down. Yes, she has wings, but magic is magic and it's nearly impossible to escape from. Also, Flit isn't that strong in the sense that she just lets it happen. "Let me go!!!" she squeals. There's a knock on the door, but no one makes a mover to answer it. "Seriously, guys, this isn't funny!" Flit squeals again. We all just grin and give her a knowing look. "FINE. I guess I'll tell you about Jerome," she says with half-closed eyes. We all grin, making her glare at us. "It isn't, like, inappropriate or anything!" she sighs, making us burst out laughing. Although she might protest against it, sometimes saying there ISN'T anything just means there is. That can be dealt with very easily, but I have a feeling she's telling the truth.

"Soooo... what's the news?" Unicity asks, all excited. Flit looks annoyed before taking a deep breath.

"JeromeandIaredating!" she whispers fast, flinching at hearing herself say it.

"Sorry, couldn't hear that," I say, smirking at her.

"JEROME AND I ARE DATING!!!" she yells, loud enough for the neighbors to hear. Silence follows, with some shouts from downstairs.

"You ARE?!?"

"Congrats, man!"

"Awwwww.... how CUTE!!!"

"They heard that?" Flit whispers with her eyes as big as plates. We all start snickering, covering our mouths with our hands. She just sighs and crosses her arms. That makes us laugh even more!

"Sooo... nice job. I bet Jerome is happy with your relationship," I grin, and she flops (as much as possible when you're floating upside down) and tries to whack me. She misses, and I back up. I accidentally bump into a table, and a phone falls off, landing on the floor. It immediately starts playing music deafening loud. Flit looks terrified.

"THAT WAS JEROME'S!!! WE NEED TO FIX IT NOW!!!" She shreaks. I just stare at her with an annoyed look.

"Really?" I shout above the music. It is currently playing the BajanCanadian song. Ironic, isn't it? Jackie and I start singing along in exaggerated voices.

"BAAAJAAANNNNNN.... CANAAADIIIIAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN.... THE MAAASTER OFFFF SUUURRVIVVAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!" We both yell, laughing as Twi looks annoyed and angry at the same time. We hear Mitch and Jerome singing downstairs (they're coming up. Can't imagine why...) followed by Rob in a high pitched voice. Soon, everyone joins in with their own version. Unicity's  is 'the seamstress of ensembles' and Flit's (who is STILL upside down) is 'the bunny of innocence'. Jerome is the loudest - he must be seranading to Flit - and is singing about coffee. Gee, I have NO idea why... The guys knock on the door and when Jackie opens it, they sing in her face then run downstairs laughing. Classic guys, always immature when it comes to singing. We shut the door (or, rather, I blow it shut with wind) and we get back to work. Thoughts start coming and I try to block them out but not before I hear this from Twi.

'Gosh, I hope no one finds that picture of Mitch under my pillow. I mean, it isn't THAT bad...' I flip around and Twi drops Flit when Unicity makes her go in the air. The music is still blaring, and I am fed up. Picking up the phone, I throw it down the stairs, which earns a cry of protest from Flit. Then, looking at Twi, I flap my wings. Rising into the air, I ignore her pleads and fly into her room. Moving the pillow, I find a picture of Mitch. Around him is a big red heart with a few small ones. Awww... how cute!!! I'm a little curious about why she keeps it under her pillow, but whatever.
