"What are you thinking about?" Preston asks. I realize that I've been silent for a few minutes. Riiiiiiiiight......
"Oh, nothing," I quickly reply, blushing as he tries to figure out whether to believe me or not. Ummm.... yeah. Eventually, he gives up and plops back down in the chair. Now that the power's been out for a while (unless you count MAGIC to qualify) the house is getting cold. Great. As Rob shuts down his laptop and goes onto his phone, I get rather annoyed. Can't people live without technology?!? I stand up and walk over. Next, I snatch the phone out of his hand before he can blink.
"Hey!" he protest, making a grab for it. Well, years of soccer have paid off. I can easily outrun anyone - especially now that I am being chased by Rob-A-Dob-Flob-Can't-Get-A-Job! Well, I guess it's safe to say that he sort-of tried...... ish.... Anyway, Rob is a bit faster than he looks. Not really, but I can see that he tries hard. Preston runs after us, making me go faster. Zooming down the hallway, I go to the stairs. Usually, stairs have a slant as they go up/down. Well, these have a flat, high ceiling that just goes straight down until you get to the other floor. Basically, the stairs and ceiling equal a 90 degree triangle. Luckily for me, wings will come in handy. Turning around, I wait until Rob catches up. He knows what I am about to do and jumps, trying to pin me to the ground. Oops, guess it didn't work! Right before he jumps, I fly into the air. Preston climbs up the stairs nonchalant. Totally not going to do anything.... Trying to get me, he (sadly *sniff*) fails jumping and lands on top of Rob.
"Awwww.... POOFLESS!" I squeal, hovering above their heads. Groaning, Preston makes a grab for me again, this time catching my leg. Flying up, he didn't stand yet, and is forced to let me go unless he'd rather have his arm feel like it was going to fall off. Grinning down at them, it takes all the sustaining strength I have not to burst out laughing. Poofless is so CUTE!!! Twi joins me, and we both look down to see that Mitch has arrived. So has Jerome, who is currently trying to find Flit. Well, she IS right behind him... Being completely quiet, she ever so slightly flaps her wings. Falling to the ground, she appears to have fainted. However, we've known her long enough to take this as a sign to get out of here and find a new location for the cell phones (Twi used her magic to take everyone else's also. Poor Jerome - his coffee screensaver will be no more). As everyone turns around and asks if she is okay, she looks up at us and gives the smallest of winks. Twi and I look at each other before snickering and taking off down the hallway to an open window. Laughing, we hear Flit flying after us, who is giggling and making sure the door is locked. Unicity teleports herself into the room, and we all watch Peony and Jackie climb up the tree into the bedroom.
"Girls, do you know what tonight is?" Twi asks mischievously.
"PRANK NIGHT!!!" Peony screams, making us all cheer.
"Okay, I have the perfect one to start it off," I whisper, giving them all the details. Opening the door, we find the boys standing there with their arms crossed.
"Here ya go," Jackie sighs, throwing their phones at them. Rob misses his, where it then falls onto the floor. I guess that's the reason why he didn't get a job as a waiter.
"Well, we'll just be in here playing...Hop Skip And Jump," Flit grimaces, closing the door. "How'd I do?" she asks.
"Nice," I tell her, smirking. "Let's wait a few minutes so they don't expect anything," I add, making them all sigh. We ALL love pranks!
-----
After 30 minutes of gaming, we are ready to begin. First, I tell them what we are going to do. Next, we all get out the things we need for this prank. One bottle rocket, some matches, and an incredibly cheesy video game. Oh, and a phone to record every minute of it. I start the recording software and place it at a good spot where the picture is clear but hard to see unless you specifically look for the phone itself. Okay, we're all good. Arranging the rocket near the window, I turn on the Wii and put the disk in. Then, I let Flit, Jackie, Unicity, and Peony play. It is a really basic game where you design outfits and then let your character (a fairy with over-sparkly wings) ride a pegasus to get to each other. Once you all join, you walk down a sparkly pink runway for a fashion show. The winner gets a 'picture' next to a 'ledgendary' rainbow unicorn. Yeah, really fun, right? Twi lounges out on the bed with a book while I sit in the chair and read a comic book.
