I guess it everything becomes a mystery when someone who hates you shows up at your front door, begging to see you. Mitch did that. He had us come home two weeks early, and now he wants to see us? Did he just want to seem in charge, or did he realize he made a mistake? I don't know, but I'll do everything in my power to avoid him. Sticking with my friends seems to be a grand idea also. By that, I can make sure he won't interrupt us as much as he would by myself. Let's just say we can be pretty intimidating when we feel like it. You might not want to go against us. Like, at all. Even Flit can get pretty feisty.
"So, y'all have any idea why they showed up on our doorstep?" Jackie asks, before groaning and doing a facepalm. "And are still here?!?" The knocking on the door gets louder and more insistent. Soon, I think they're trying to break down the door, or something. I glare at the door, 'sending' little 'telepathic' messages saying that they should leave immediately. It doesn't work. Standing up, I make my face expressionless before walking up to it. Punching the door, I hope that scares them into leaving. Nope. That makes it worse. Huh. Bummer. Opening the door, I stand there, my arms crossed. It takes a moment for them to notice. Then, they all stare at me in unison with their eyes bulging out of their heads and mouths open as wide as is humanly possible on people.
"Dash... What happened?" Preston asks, continuing to stare.
"You like it? It's my new look. It suits me rather well, don't ya think?" I say sweetly, giving a mushy look. It works. Well, sort of.
"Yeah, sure. Where's Jackie?" Jerome hurriedly asks, pushing past me to see inside. Heard of anything called being invited inside? Or, maybe, just being kind? I guess not. Jackie walks out of the kitchen, a fizzy apple cider in her hand. Adjusting her hat, she walks over to Jerome.
"Did Dash let you in?" She asks, giving me a look that would seem menacing, but I know it just means to let her take it. This should be interesting, in a good way.
"Well, ummm no," Jerome sighs. "But I had to talk to you!" Jackie shrugs. I guess she doesn't care. "Maybe your room?" Jerome asks, fidgeting with his shirt hem. Jackie shrugs again, and turns around. Giving them some privacy, I turn back to Mitch, Preston and Rob. They look nervous, too. What exactly is going on, here? A few minutes have past, and I'm getting worried. Where's Jackie? Just then, her door slams open, and Jerome runs out, covering his head with both hands. A coffee cup flies out, and Jackie appears, hurling everything she can get at him. All of the boys back out, and Jackie runs to the door before they can close it.
"Jerome! You get back here! I haven't finished yet!!!" She yells, tears streaming down her face. Grabbing my cell phone from her hand before she can throw it down the hallway, I slam the door shut and pull her into a hug. She sobs loudly, sinking down to the floor. Wow, whatever happened must be major.
"Jackie, what happened in there?" I say, still hugging her as our friends crowd around with sympathy written all over their faces. She doesn't answer until her wild crying stops.
"He.... He... Was... Cheating on me!" Jackie wails. All of us gasp. How dare he! That was Jackie's first sort of relationship! And Jerome? From now on, I'm going to post hate on his videos' comment. Actually, no. That could get me in trouble. Whatever I do, I'm going too get him back for this, one way or another.
