Chapter 44

Bolt and Preston glance at each other, obviously annoyed that they are each sitting next to me. Bolt grabs my hand and kisses it, like men would do in the olden days. Seriously? Twi has the same problem as me - she is stuck between Mitch and Flash. Flash is ALSO kissing her hand. Mitch looks like he reaalllyyyy doesn't like that and pulls Flash's chair back to he now sits two feet away from the table. Preston shoves Bolt so he sprawls into Flit's lap. Flit squeals and jumps out of her chair, knocking Bolt to the floor. I can't help but snicker at that. Flash scoots his chair up and gazes at Twi lovingly. She just wrinkles her nose and scoots closer to Mitch. Bolt stands up and glares at Preston, who acts as though he doesn't exist and everything is perfectly normal. I sigh and stretch my wings out, which span enough to cover Preston from Bolt. Maybe that'll get them to stop.

"Wow, Dash, your wings are so beautiful! They are amazing! So are you of course, my fine lady," Bolt exclaims, winking at me. Preston looks over my wing to glare at Bolt, who smugly sits back in his chair. Twi is currently smushed between Mitch and Flash, who are arguing about which one she belongs to. Her expression clearly says 'Help me please' and so Unicity uses her magic to float all four boys in the air. Adam is currently vlogging this and smirks. Twi groans, stretching her wings out to either side. Rob just watches Preston float in the air and sighs. Yeah, having your best friend float a few feet above the ground can be really, uh, sad? I'm not sure what he's upset about, but whatever it is he looks more clearly annoyed. You know, maybe it was the people FIGHTING OVER US GIRLS?!? Call it a hunch but that was probably it. Jackie rests her head on Rob's shoulder and kisses him on the cheek. Peony and Adma both giggle when they see Mitch still trying to shove Flash away midair. Twi stands up, flaps her wings, and joins me on the other side of the table. She takes Bolt's seat. Unicity releases her magic hold and Bolt lands in Twi's lap. He grins sheepishly up at her, but she grimaces and shoves him onto the floor underneath the table. Mitch quickly runs over and nabs the seat next to Twi, meaning that the only seats available are across from Twi and I. Great. Note to self, never look in that direction. Just look at Preston. Preston and Mitch smirk at Bolt and Flash who groan and sit across from us. Wow, I don't real
Let understand why all of the guys are being so annoying! Weren't they just getting along? I see Adam exiting his vlog, but when he gets a request from Peony he does one last zoom on that beautiful pink bow in Rob's hair before turning off the camera. I grab my fork and dig into the meal. Hey, this is one of my favorite dishes so obviously I'm gonna eat it! Something I just realized - why have the guys been staying over for so long? I stop mid-bite to ponder it. Don't they have their own lives?

'Yeah, I'm not sure about that either,' Twi answers me through our mindcom (A/N mind communication xD).

'I know, right? I don't mind, but at the same time we girls need our personal space. We haven't even done soccer for the past month because we've been too busy!' Jackie adds in, staring at me over her broccoli.

'WHAT? It's been a MONTH?!? How many games did we miss?!?' I flip out, nearly dropping my fork.

'Only one, I think,' Flit chimes in. Bolt looks at us. Ohhh right. Forgot that we do expressions while talking mentally and that it looks weird or others. Oops?

'Darlings, eat. Your food that Dash made is getting cold. You don't know if you'll ever get another meal cooked by her,' Unicity interrupts. I roll my eyes, then grin and stick out my tongue at her. I begin eating again as we girls try to discuss how we kindly but forcefully ask them to leave.

We all walk along the sidewalk to a place where we can all sit. I look over and find a nice little open field behind the gelato building where there are some benches set up along the back.

'I mean, we can't just shove them out the door,' Twi says as we all eat our gelato. I got peach mango and so did Twi. Flit got pumpkin spice, cause WHY NOT? (A/N Chrissy... xD) Unicity got double chocolate and Peony got birthday cake. I don't even know they MADE that flavor! Jackie got... Wait for it... Waaaiitttt for it... Apple pie. No surprise there - she's, like, obsessed with them. Preston got strawberry and Mitch got maple with maple syrup as a topping. Usually, you don't add stuff to gelato but I guess Mitch really wanted the extra maple flavor. Jerome got cheese (personally, that doesn't sound too appealing) and Adam got pistachio. Rob got the watermelon one. Guess what Bolt and Flash got? The EXACT same thing as Mitch and Preston. Gee, I wonder why?
