I hear everyone laughing as I rush inside, followed by another scream as Two gets dumped on too. I look out the window to see Rob giving her a hug. Wowwww nice affection display, guys. Next up is Preston.
"Okay, I'm ready," he sighs. Judging by the look on his face, I can tell he has something planned. This should be good. I take out my phone and start filming. Just as Rob tries to pour the water on Preston, Preston jumps up, sending the bucket flying backwards, soaking everyone.
"Yesss!!!! Cactus FTW!!!" He yells, and smiles. Just then, he looks in my direction. "DASH!!!!! YOU'RE FILMING THIS?!?!? I am sooooo gonna get you back for this!!!" He yells at me. I just smile and turn the phone around.
"Hahaha!!! This was the legendary TBNRFrags doing the ice bucket challenge! Let's see what he'll do in revenge later. For now, bye everyone! Stay radical!" I smirk as I turn recording off. That's going on YouTube for surreeee. No, he can't do anything about it. Yes, I'm going to let him try, but nothing's going to work. I silently watch as the rest of my friends do the challenge, wishing to be there. Hmmm my wings should be dry by now, right? How long do these take to dry, anyway? I hope not too long - I want to go downstairs and hang with my buds! Changing out of my swimsuit, I put on a T-shirt and pants. Hmmm I'll have to do something about this. Having the shirt pressed against my wings is really uncomfortable. All I need is a pair of scissors - there! Taking the shirt off, I cut slits in the back. Unfortunately, that means I'll have to wear a jacket at all times. Agghhhhh it's, like, 90 degrees! Maybe I should just be careful.... or go for a flight? I've never done this before! Well, there's a first time for everything, right? I throw my jacket on my bed, and leave a note:
Dear everyone,
Don't worry, I'm fine. I just went for a run. Yes, I will try to be back before dinner. Please don't come looking for me - you won't be able to find me, anyway. See you soon!

There. I'm done. I open my window, and stretch my wings. As I climb out, I hear footsteps. No, please no! I turn to jump off the roof, but then my door opens. Preston looks in, as sees me through the window. I immediately turn around so he can't see my wings.
"Whattttt are you doing on the roof?" he asks, his smile now gone.
"I....uhhh.... just wanted some fresh air," I try, glancing behind me. I know he won't believe me, so I smile. "You trying to get your revenge?" I smirk, hoping it'll buy me time. Preston looks at my bed and reads the note. Just then, Mitch comes into my room. I gasp and run off the edge of the roof. Yes, I know they just saw me. However, they can't get to the window - I put up a barricade. Heh heh, smart thinking. I try to contain my scream as I plummet towards the ground. Snapping my wings open, I flap as hard as I can. It's not enough, but it slows me down enough where I can land safely. Mitch and Preston burst out the front door, worry on their faces. We just stare at each other before I turn and run as fast as I can away from them.
"Dash!!! WAIT!!!" They call. 'No, no, no, I won't!' I think as tears stream down my face. I can hear them running after me, but I don't stop. I also hear them both gasp as they notice my wings. No, this can't be happening. I didn't even notice, but right now I notice I'm flapping my wings. I rise into the air, turning to look behind me, just as the tears start flowing. Preston and Mitch are both staring at me, awe and surprise in their expressions. I perch at the top of a tree, hoping they'll go away. I don't like people seeing my crying, and I especially don't want them to. The boys stop at the base of the tree, staring up at me. They're talking about me - how to get me to come down, what they should do, the fact that I've got wings. I just keep sobbing, watching as Mitch returns home to tell the others what happened. I bet Preston will just do the same. The clouds cover the sky, and it begins to rain. I hear a rustling behind me, and look at see Preston behind me. He doesn't say anything, but just gives me a hug. Wow, he knows me well. Actions speak louder than words. I just cry, and he holds me, making me feel safer than I have ever since I've gotten my wings. The sky gets darker, and eventually I stop sobbing. We sit there, staring at the stars.
"I think we should head back," Preston says, giving me a look of sadness. I agree, and we start down the tree. Well, I fly down. He has to climb. We head back home, hand in hand. When we get there I can see lights on everywhere. Preston opens the door and I walk in, with him behind me. Everyone immediately stops talking and stares at me. Not again... Twi grabs my arm really tight. Preston protests, but Jackie shoots him a look that could paralyze a skunk. They drag me into a room, and slam the door shut, pushing me into a wall.
"We're so glad you're back," Flit says. I know I sure am. The good feeling is gone as Twi pushes me to the floor.
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?!?" she yells at me.
