What stained glass walls and mosaic scene
Stands adjacent to two sides, the divide between
What piece of care, of worth and self love
Stands glimmering in the light that our eyes are made of
The pane that's back in place, sanded down from its edges
Stands in new form and shape, fallen from sharpened ledges
The glass that I peer through once more in my grasp
Stands severing vengeance unneeded at last
The memory that's embedded deep in my mind
Stands alongside me, no longer left behind
The scar once bore that tarnishes no longer
Stands left behind for the future to conquer
The best that I wish you, a wish that knows no slips
Stands spoken in whispers from my silent lips
The mirror your eyes are when static is my heart
Stands no longer as a barrier that keeps us apart
The best I can do is speak of how my composure
Stands first and foremost in respect of our closure
The future ahead that lays still over yonder
Stands gold like your heart, Jake, with all of its honor.
