I will tell you that I love you
And I will because I mean it
When I tell you that I love you
It would be wise to believe it
I will not lie and say to you
That I for you do not care
Fate drew me not to that path
But to chase a damaged hare
I will tell you that I love you
Because it is the truth
Set aside mistakes and moments
From foolishness in youth
I will not lie and say to you
That I will ever leave
My threshold knows no bounds though
Regardless of the pain received
I will tell you that I love you
With a count that knows no end
This time though it's on you
Nothing left to pretend
Our game ends with a stalemate
An impasse or a draw
Sometimes I wonder if you wish
You had never met me at all
I WILL TELL YOU THAT I LOVE YOU
AND I WILL BECAUSE I MEAN IT
WHEN I TELL YOU THAT I LOVE YOU
IT WOULD BE WISE TO BELIEVE IT
I HAVE FOUGHT MY TEARS ENOUGH
MAYBE APPEASED SOME SCHADENFREUDE
BUT FOR ONCE JUST PLEASE BELIEVE ME
OR END THIS LIFE OF LOVE DEVOID
