Five little birds on a wire they said
Five little birds flying over my head
Five little birds, although one of them's dead
Four little birds on a wire instead.
Where will you fly, little Starling above?
Peaceful and caring, a sky-speckled dove,
Tell, little bird, what our lives are made of?
Crazed mirror shards and the promise of love.
Four little birds singing innocent dread
Four little birds flying unto the end
Four little birds, although one more is dead
Three little birds on a wire instead.
Where will you fly, little Starling above?
Peaceful and caring, a sky-speckled dove,
Tell, little bird, what our lives are made of?
Crazed mirror shards and the promise of love.
Three little birds that are missing their friends
Three little birds, none of whom can pretend
Three little birds, yet another is dead
Two little birds on a wire instead.
Where will you fly, little Starling above?
Peaceful and caring, a sky-speckled dove,
Tell, little bird, what our lives are made of?
Crazed mirror shards and the promise of love.
Now we've decided it's time for farewell
See to the skies or be burning in hell
One little bird has a story to tell
But there's no little birds, because all of them fell.
Where will you fly, little Starling above?
Peaceful and caring, a sky-speckled dove,
Tell, little bird, what our lives are made of?
Crazed mirror shards and the promise of love.
