Starlight, star bright, first star I see tonight
I call upon your shine to grant a wish and end this plight
However it may end, or however silence breaks
One event in life does not a person make
If you aim to find my memory,
Never think about finales at day
Rebellion amongst the sea of sorrows
In memoriam M.A.
Detectives like him find killers like her alone
Clockwork purring through the night
I've done everything right and I'll do it again
But I shouldn't have let even that smile be feigned
Lonely moments just get lonelier
To which I have nothing to say
I'm sorry that I let you down
All of this - all for one mistake
Don't ask me why
You're in a better place
But those memories haven't quite faded yet
I wake up and I'm afraid
It was worth it for those moments
Feed my brain a bullet so I'll have peace
And you know what you did, hope uneasy you'll rest
Stand adjacent to two sides, the divide between
Can you hear the howl of snow or the droplets of fallen tears
I was in the process of trying to move on in peace
I'm killing time and melatonin
Regardless of the pain received
We started fresh, but none is as it seems
Even when those little moments were ours
If you want to leave a bouquet by my grave
Purple calla lilies are my favorite flowers.
