I am currently on FaceTime with Jack and Lily and they are all the way across the country in New York
I haven't had a full conversation with them in a while
I've only said goodnight to them both and that's it
But that makes me sad
I love them so much and I want to hear about everything
"Well where was your favorite place you went"
"Ooo I don't know I like all. We did soooo much! Daddy's bought me sooooo many toys and stuffed animals. Also, I have a room all to myself"
"Wait a minute you're supposed to sleep with daddy. Jack why isn't she sleeping with you she's only 1 she needs some-"
"Babe relax she does sleep with me the room is both of ours"
"Oh sorry I just want my baby safe"

"Well Lily tomorrows your birthday are you excited"
"Yup daddy says New York is so much fun and he's going to take me around as my gift"
"That sounds really fun. I wish I was there for you. I've seen your brothers and sister turn two but I won't be able to see you"

"It's still sad" I feel a tear fall down my face and I quickly wipe it away

"I'm still sad though. I was going to surprise you and daddy at one of his concerts but Hayden got sick. I just want to see you guys"
Suddenly Lily's eyes open wide and she whispers to Jack
"I think that's a great idea" I hear Jack say back to her
"Hey we have to go now but um keep looking at your texts"
