everyone just left our house and me and lily are playing with her toys

"momma i want you to be the princess"

"but you're my princess lily"

"i don't care you are being the princess it's MY birthday"

"okay okay i'll be the princess"

"oh princess please let me go" her "character" says

i'm not quite sure what we're playing or how we got here but her character is in my dungeon

"no! you were mean"

"i didn't mean it"

i can't help but laugh at this. i'm a grown woman playing with dolls with my child

at least im having a relationship with her

"i don't care now go to sleep"

"no princess please"

we continue to play and Jack comes downstairs

"okay little one you have to go to bed"  Jack says picking up Lily

"nooooo i'm playing with mommy"

"well it's bedtime so you're going to have to stop"

"nope!" she jumps out of his arms and walks over to sit on my lap

"Lily" Jack says sternly

"no i don't want to i want to play"

"Lilia Rose its time for bed"

"no daddy it's not it's play time"

"you know i'm getting very angry"

"i don't care"

"Lilia Rose Avery when I say it's bedtime it's bedtime now come on before i take away all your gifts"

"mommy don't let him"

"lily he's right it's time for bed"

"but i want to play"

"tomorrow okay"

"can we have 5 more minutes tho pleaseeeeee it's my birthday"

"fine"

"yay"

"babe! no she has to go to sleep"

"jack just go upstairs i got this"

"ugh your babying her" he groans and walks upstairs

i just roll my eyes and continue to play with Lily

"okay i tired now"

"that was a minute! daddys going to be mad at me now"

"why?"

"cause i let you stay up when he wanted you to go to bed"

"just kiss him and he will be happy"

"good idea" we high five and i bring her up to bed

after i put her to bed i go into me and Jacks room

"hey" i say getting changed

"shouldn't you be downstairs playing with your daughter"

"ooo someone's angry"

i laugh and lay in the bed

he turns over and i sigh

"why are you so angry"

"i don't like that she didn't listen to me."

"I really think you're overreacting. i mean it's her birthday and it was only 5 minutes not even"

"its not even her birthday it's her party"

"whatever are you really this upset"

"yes i am"

"so are you not going to kiss me tonight. you seem to do that when you're mad"

"nope i will not"

"well then guess i'll just sleep with Lily then"

"of course you are" he says rolling your eyes

"why are you rolling your eyes"

"cause everytime we have any argument of any type you immediately go to Lily and sleep with her"

"well Lily's the only kid in this house that actually cares and likes me and clearly now she's the only person in this house that cares and likes me so of course i'm going to do that. now goodnight Jack Robert Avery i love you even though you don't love me" i walk out of the room and slam the door

jack is so frustrating some times. yes i love him but he gets me so mad

he gets like a little kid when the smallest thing doesn't go his way

he has a tantrum and we get into a fight. yeah we always end up fine in the end but at the moment we don't talk for a few hours

i walk into Lily's bedroom and lay in her bed next to her

i kiss her cheek and she turns to face me

"hi mommy what are you doing in my bed?"

"daddy's mad at me so i'm going to sleep with you instead is that alright"

"that's okay i always love to cuddle with my favorite person in the whole world"

"awww" she pulls me into a hug and kisses my cheek

"night night mommy i love you soooo much"

at least i know one of my family members love me

sadly it's not my husband
