"mommy!" lily says when she sees me at her school
after we dropped hayden off and moved him in we had to get the other kids from school.
now today is lily's first day of first grade which is basically her first day of real school and i'm hoping she was good
"hi baby how was school" i say picking her up

"can we go have lunch!"
"didn't you already eat"

"okay sure. now let's go see Daddy"
we walk into the car and she hugs Jack

"hi lily how was school"
"amazing i have a new friend his name is Christopher"

we drive away from the school and we go to get lunch

"i learned about families. did you know some families have two daddies or two mommies or one mommy or one daddy. we have a mommy and a daddy. my new friend Morgan only has one daddy her mommy died last year. she cried in class when she was talking about it"

we get to a restaurant and get sat
"so mommy are you gonna have a new baby since haydens gone?"
"no next year the twins are going to college so it will take a while to get them both together so we won't have time with the baby. and for now we just want to take care of you. next year it's just going to be us three"
"ooo yay i love my family well i love my mommy and daddy. ellianna's mean, Hunter doesn't talk to me and hayden well haydens gone now"
"he's not gone he's away. now who's your favorite me or daddy?"
"sorry momma but daddy's DEFINITELY my favorite"
"ha! i knew it" Jack says and kisses her cheek
i shouldve expected that i mean she is sitting on his lap
