"Hey Mom can I talk to you and Dad for a second" Hunter asks coming into my room
"Of course what's up?"
"Um well first I need dad with you and you guys need to be sitting"
"Okay???"
I walk downstairs and sit at the table while I text jack
Me- hey babe come inside Hunter needs to talk to us
Jack- okay I'll be there in a minute
Me- okay
I wait a few minutes and he finally comes inside
As soon as he comes in Hunter grabs him and makes him sit next to me at the table
He sits across from us and I notice he looks nervous
"Is everything alright?" I ask
"Um yeah it's just I have to tell you guys something"
Me and jack look at each other scared and then back at him
"Go on" jack tells him
"Well I-I I'm dating someone"
"Oh that's great what's her name!" I say in shock at this surprise
"Well you see that's the funny thing cause well um she's not really a girl. HE'S actually a boy and I-I'm gay. Uh I really hope you don't mind that but seeing as you aren't saying anything to me I'm guessing you guys do. So I-I'll just start packing I guess um I think I can go to the street if you wa-"
"Hunter are you serious" I ask in total shock
I don't care that he's gay as long as he's happy with himself I'm happy for him. And I know for a fact Jack feels the same way seeing as we've had this conversation before Hayden was even born
"Ye-Yeah" he starts to cry and I quickly go to hug him
"A-are you mad"
"Of course not."
"Da-dad please say something you're scaring me" he stutters looking at Jack who is blankly staring
"Wha- Oh yeah I knew" he shrugs
"You knew? How?"
"Well when at 6 you tell me how pretty your friend Will is I'm pretty sure it was clear"
"Oh so do you guys accept me?"
"Of course we do. Well tell us about your boyfriend"
"Oh his names Justin and we're the same age. Um I'm older what else"
"When's his birthday?"
"May 2nd"
"Oh cool"
"Wait so you guys seriously are fine with it"
"Absolutely" jack answers
"Oh... google said it was going to be much more difficult"
"Aww did you look it up"
"Yeah" he blushes
"You don't ever have to be worried about telling us anything. We support you with everything no matter what. If you're happy then we're happy"
"You guys are the best" he smiles and hugs me and Jack
"Well I'm going to go upstairs now and tell him how good it went" he runs upstairs with a smile and shuts his door
