Sam was rushing around Stark Tower, cleaning and tidying things up that were even slightly out of place. In her mind everything had to be perfect, no more, no less. “Do we have flowers to put in the middle of the table?” Sam called out to Tony, who upon hearing her comment chuckled loudly. “Who do you think we are Samantha? The Gatsby's?" Sam rolled her eyes groaning, “This place needs to look like a home, not like a bachelor pad, in less than fifteen minutes.” Pepper laughed as she brought in the plates from the kitchen, setting them around the steaming roast in the center of the table. “I have been saying that for the last thirteen years kid, I don't know if you can change any of that now,” she said. Sam ignored Pepper and countiened to rush around. Tony crossed into the dining room taking in the smell of the food Pepper had made. “The roast smells amazing,” Tony said as he began to peel off a little bit of meat to eat. “Get your paws off the roast,” Pepper said smacking Tony's hand away from the food she had just placed on the table. “We can not have shields just laying around in here!!” Sam said attempting to move Steves giant shield out of the living room. “STEVE!!” Sam screamed at the top of her lungs. “He isn't here Samantha,” Tony said, coming to help Sam move the shield out of the living room. Tony smiled, “You know Peter has been here before, he knows what this place typically looks like.” Sam sighed, “I know, but I would still like this place to look nice. I don't want to ruin anything with Peter.” Tony smiled, “You aren't going to ruin anything with Peter, just because the house isn't one hundred percent spotless.” Sam took a deep breath and smiled up at Tony. “Maybe you're right.” But as soon as FRIDAY alerted Tony that Peter was on his way up, Sam took off, “We need to put the pillows back on the couch!” Tony rolled his eyes and smiled. He then made his way back to the dining room to help Pepper set the table. “I think I might actually faint,” Pepper stated watching Tony. “Why? My good looks?” Tony said flashing a very cheesy smile back at Pepper. “No you're helping me set the table,” Pepper said grinning mischievously from across the table. “I set the table all the time,” Tony said defensively. “When it's just you and Sam maybe,” Pepper said still smiling. “Okay table is set, check. Couch decorated with nice pillows, check. Superhero stuff put away, check. Perfume, check….” Sam said, smelling herself as she paced the living room. “You look great munchkin,” Tony said crossing back into the living room to Sam. “You really think so?” Sam said honestly wondering if she looked good or not. Tony smiled at her, “Of course you do, and if Peter doesn't think so he is crazy.” Sam smiled at Tony. Even with everything going on between them, she could honestly tell that he did care about her and that brought a smile to her face. Just as Sam went to say something back to Tony she jumped, hearing the elevator ding. She ran over to the elevator and waited for the doors to open. Once they did she smiled as she was face to face with Peter. “Hey webhead,” Sam said smiling at Peter as he got off the elevator. Peter took a deep breath to calm himself down and smiled weakly, and said, “H-hey,” Sam smiled. She realized he was nervous, so she took him by the arm and whispered as she led him to the living room, “Don't be nervous Pete.” Peter blushed feeling her touch. There was just something about the way Sam could make him feel both confidant and insanely nervous all in one. It also made his face turn a deep shade of red. This feeling only intistfied as he crossed into the living room and came face to face with Tony. This had been the first time that Peter had seen Tony since their secret had been let out. “Hi Peter,” Tony said awkwardly standing up from his seat on the couch, extending his hand for Peter to shake. Peter was caught off guard by how formal Tony was acting. Usually they greeted each other with a wave or dorky high fives. But Peter assumed that all of that changed, now that he was dating his daughter. Peter was so caught off guard in fact, that he left Tony hanging for what seemed like a whole five minutes. “Uh hi, Mr. Stark,” Peter finally choked out, taking Tony's hand into his and shaking it lightly. Peter realized that Tony was gripping his hand rather tightly. Peter decided to joke and said, "Quite a grip you've got there." After speaking he slightly laughed to himself, and to his terror no one laughed back. He quickly closed his mouth, pulled his hand back, and smiled a terrified smile. “Hello Peter,” Pepper said making her way into the living room and pulling him in for a giant hug. “Hello Ms. Potts," Peter said, cheerily. She smiled back and said “I hope you're hungry! I made a roast, some potatoes, and carrots.” Peter smiled then looked back at Tony who had been staring at him intently. “Sounds wonderful,” Peter choked out. “Great, then let's start eating,” Tony said. Peter couldn't help but notice that Tony didn't even look at him as he walked past. Peter slowly walked to the dining room and sat down next to Sam directly across from Tony. He took a deep breath and immediately thought to himself, “What did I get myself into?”
