Samantha sat at the breakfast table, her hair in a bun, her favorite pair of sweatpants on and one of her dad's old baggy AC/DC shirts. It was nearly noon though she was still yawning over her plate of eggs and bacon. "I think your dad had a rough night," Steve called over to her as he crossed the room to get to the elevator. "Why is that?" Sam questioned. "Well after you guys ate dinner last night, he couldn't sleep. Claimed he would if he could find that guy. Asked us all to go out with him because he did some more research and found where the guy could possibly be, and nothing was there," Steve explained talking with his hands more with every word. "Maybe I should go check on him, make sure he took his meds" Sam said immediately forgetting how tired she was. "Just go easy on him Sam. I think the whole ordeal at the mall is really messing with him." Sam shook her head in agreement to Steve as he got in the elevator. Before jumping into the elevator herself she looked at her phone. Her face immediately lifted as she read a text from peter. “Hey its Peter, I was just wondering how your day is going? If you get away from everyone for a minute or two maybe I could swing over and see you for a while, after I am done playing video games with Ned. P.S. I realized that neither you or Stacy have an Instagram or any social media, is that another rule? Just wondering." She wanted to answer him back but her dad was more of a priority at the moment. She rode the elevator down to the lab, and was taken back by what she saw. The lab was a mess, papers were strung out everywhere, almost every computer was on and running background checks or Google searches for any information on Otto, and then there was her dad. Tony was asleep but not in his chair, he was sprawled out on the floor completely out. "Dad! Wake up!" Despite Sam yelling Tony didn't move. "FRIDAY how long has he been like this?" Sam frantic at this point. "Mr. Stark, passed out around three in the morning after a large anxiety attack," she heard what the A.I said but was too worried to comprehend its words. "FRIDAY CALL PEPPER TELL HER IT'S URGENT" Sam screamed as the A.I dialed the only person she could think to call. She attempted to wake her father up. She yelled and cried and tried to shake him but he didn't budge. "FRIDAY run a vital scan" Sam could feel herself start to lose it as she became more and more frantic by the minute. After what seemed like an eternity the A.I responded, "His blood pressure is still extremely high, it seems as though he passed out from stress but he will be okay once he wakes up." Just as FRIDAY delivered the message Pepper was rushing through the door. "What the hell is going on?" She said with the horror clear in her voice, rushing over to Sam who was still trying to get Tony up "He didn't take his meds, and had an attack, he passed out I can't get him up. I didn't know what else to do," Sam choked out in between her distressed tears. Pepper immediately did the only thing she could think of and took one good swing at the arc reactor that layed in his chest. A shock went over his whole body that woke him up instantly making him jump up. Sam at this point was a emotional wreck, crying and hyperventilating. Pepper was upset and made that obvious by screaming at Tony, "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING?" Tony was still coming down from the shock, "I was TRYING to find the guy that nearly killed my daughter!" He said back aggravated. "SO IN THE PROCESS YOU ALMOST KILL YOURSELF? WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE YOUR MEDS?" Sam couldn't hear anything over her own sobbing by that point, she tried to slow her breathing down and was failing miserably. She finally was snapped back to the attention of the conversation when she realized her dad was looking at her "Hey, hey calm down okay? I am okay look at me Sam," Sam looked up to see her dad half way smiling at her as an attempt to reassure her. She couldn't say or do anything besides hug him and cry into his shoulder. She had never seen her dad in such a rough state before and thought she could have lost him. She spent the rest of the day making sure her dad took it easy and went nowhere near his lab. Pepper showed no sign of leaving either and for once Sam didn't mind. She finally found time to write Peter back. "Hey it's Sam. My day has been rather rough actually. It's okay if you can't come over but I could use a hug today. Just don't come until after six. That's when we are usually done with dinner. Maybe then we could talk about my lack of social media." Dinner was mostly quiet that night. Tony knew he scared Sam and was trying to find anyway to make her feel better again. "You know I was thinking after this Doc Oc stuff calms down we could BOTH go to Italy. I know you've always wanted to go and all so maybe…." Sam abruptly interrupted him "You could have died you know." Her voice sent a shiver down Tony's spine. "I am stronger than one bad panic attack munchkin. Trust me, okay?" Tony said, not even believing himself. Sam just nodded and went back to picking at her food. After she was finished she made her way up to her room once again feeling exhausted from the day. She hadn't heard back from Peter and assumed that him and Ned just got caught up playing video games. She decided she would read before heading off to bed, but right as she began to open the first Harry Potter book, for the hundredth time, her phone rang. Seeing that it was Peter she answered and said a simple Hi. "Hey I know its kinda late but I had to make a pit stop on my way over, can I come up?" Peter explained. "Yeah just be quiet," Sam responded back. She got off her bed and walked over to her window. She saw what she assumed the pit stop was for. She looked down to see Peter clinging to the side of the wall with a single yellow rose in between his two sets of teeth. She smiled at him. How sweet could he get? He promptly web swung off of the side of the tower and right into Sam's room. Taking the rose out of his mouth and presenting it to her he smiled the biggest smile he could and said "For you my lady," Sam took it and smiled, set it on her desk and immediately locked Peter into a hug. Peter at first was caught completely off guard at Sam's eagerness, but eased into the hug when he felt her start to cry. Peter had no clue what was wrong but it didn't matter. He pulled her in closer and put one of his hands through her curly hair, and reassured her by saying "It's gonna be okay." While Sam was still upset about her dad, she couldn't hide the fact that Peter did make her feel better.
