Sam flew through the skies quickly. While she enjoyed the feeling of flying through the air, she couldn't think about that now, her dad needs her. She saw the warehouse and slowly declined, making sure to observe everything as she landed outside the building on a nearby hill. She noticed a few things that struck her as odd: He had every window and door open. He was also standing in the middle of the building waiting for her, but his mechanical arms seemed to be unattached. The last thing she noticed, and the thing that bothered her the most, was that her father was nowhere to be seen. She powered down her suit, allowing for it to retract back into the tiny diamond around her neck, revealing her pink dress. She sighed, she was upset that prom had been ruined for her and she wanted this guy to pay for ruining her life. Right before she started down the hill to the front door of the warehouse, she heard a crash in the trees and looked up to see Peter without a mask, but otherwise fully suited. He lowered to the ground and immediately ran to her hugging her tightly. He looked into Sam's eyes with a pleading stare. “You stay here,” he said smiling, getting ready to whip off before Sam stopped him. “No Peter, I have to do this alone.” Peter turned back to her and immediately became agitated at how stubborn she was. “Samantha are you insane? He will kill you he made that very clear months ago.” Sam was sacred but knew it was something only she could do, regardless of what happened to her. “Peter I'm scared too, okay? But the world needs heroes like my dad and you. No one needs me,” Sam said, trying to turn away but before she could Peter grabbed her arm. “How selfish can you be, people need you. I need you. Tony needs you. The Avengers need you Pep...” Petter attempted to go on but was cut off by Sam becoming overwhelmed with adrenaline. “And you can all move on!” Peter began to cry, Sam made her way to Peter and grabbed his hand, he in turn placed her hand on his chest. “Don't you feel my heart beating out of my chest, I don't want to lose you, I can't lose you Sam you are my world.” Sam closed her eyes and put her head on his chest, she had been brought to tears at this point. "I love yo…" Sam began, but Peter cut her off. "Don't say it like you're not coming back, please." Sam cried into his chest for a minute, letting his smell engulf her, and feeling is warm body pressed up against her. She finally was able to speak, “Let's just pretend like we never left prom, and you'll see me tomorrow.” Sam offered Peter an extremely weak smile. Peter stared back for a moment and realized that there was nothing he could do to change her mind and shook his head in agreement. “Sure Stark, I'll see you tomorrow.” Sam kissed his cheek and began to walk away. He watched as the love of his life made her way down the hill and away from him, possibly forever. He decided to get a little closer by swinging through the trees. That way if things got out of hand he could be there in an instant. Sam finally reached a huge bay door that was open. She was immediately welcomed by Oc, who was clapping for her arrival, and sporting sickening smile. “Welcome little Stark. How are you, was the trip over okay?” It took Sam everything in her not to run at him and knock is stupid smile off his face. “I want my dad!” She said aggressively, scanning the room to see where he was. “Now Samantha, I know your father raised you to have manners, take a seat,” he said, indicating to a chair. Sam relunctly sat in it, she knew what would come next, but she would do whatever it would take to get her dad home safe. Once she was in the chair Oc handcuffed her to it. Sam allowed him to do so with no struggle. “Good girl, he must mean a lot to you.” Sam put her head down as she heard Ocs arms come out, knowing her fate was sealed. She also heard her dad start to make muffled noises from behind her. She turned her head as much as she could and could make out that he was tied up to a chair and gagged. Sam thought quickly, “If you're going to kill me in front of him, at least ungag him.” Oc laughed in Sam's face. “Please it’s the only thing I ask, please let him go,” she pleaded. Oc lifted her head up with one of his claws so they could look each other straight in their eyes. “I am going to kill you, while he watches, you won't be able to save him. After I am done with you I am going to kill the great Tony Stark and everyone in that damn tower!” Oc said menacingly. "But why? What have we done?" Sam said strongly to Oc. She didn't really want to know but she wanted to push back the inevitable. He looked like he was thinking her question through. But before he could respond, a voice interrupted them. "Hey, wanna be Squidward, miss me?" Spider-Man said as he shot a web in Ocs direction. Sam looked around and saw that her dad was free, Peter must have untied him while Oc was distracted. His suit was grafting to him, his face was still exposed and his eyes were murderous. Peter's shot had missed and Ocs next move was to pick Sams chair up with his mechanical arms. "Either of you make another move, I'll throw her farther and faster than you can say 'stop'." Both of them froze. “Put her down!” Spider-Man said, looking at Oc from the ceiling. “FINE!” Oc said, throwing Sam across the warehouse. Sam didn't scream, she had been content with the impending doom. Just as she was about to hit the wall she felt a jerk, Peter had caught her just in time. Once he had lowered her to the ground he untied her. “I told you to stay outside and let me go,” Sam said, hugging Peter. “Well I guess I'm just as stubborn as the rest of you.” As they separated they watched as Tony got thrown out the window. Sam screamed in terror. Oc then made his way over to Spider-Man and Sam. He tossed Spider-Man aside and picked Sam up, bringing her close to his face “THIS ENDS NOW!” he threw Sam down again. And with no one there to rescue her this time she hit the ground with a sickening crunch. Sam was sure that she had died, memories played back in her head of her and her dad, memories of her playing dolls and dress up with him, images of her and Peters first kiss, and of her many exciting birthdays. She was for once, in the last six months, happy and safe in death's arms. But then these images shifted to ones of Oc standing his with arms out, of Peter laying on the ground not moving, and of her dad trying his best to fight Oc off. Sam tried to move these images aside. But couldn't, her arms were aching and her head was spinning. That was when Samantha realized she wasn't dead yet. She had just woken up. She immediately pulled herself across the floor, straight to Peter. He was breathing and his heart was breathing but not awake. He had been knocked out, just like Sam was moments ago. She wished she could suit up and place him down outside but she was just too weak. Instead she just curled up on the floor next to him and watched quietly. Her dad was handling himself well, and soon Oc was on the ground not moving. Tony had made his way across the room and picked Peter up first placing him on the ground outside. Once he made his way back in he began to pick Sam up despite her making noises of discomfort about her wounds. “You're okay munchkin, you are I promise, the ambulances and police are on their way, and Oc is out cold.” Sam looked at Tony (his mask was retracted) after opening her eyes from wincing. “Dad, I am sorry I...” Tony shook his head. “It's okay now, everything is alright.” He kissed Sam on her forehead. In an instant Tony felt a sharp pain in his side, and he let out a gasp. “Dad?” Tony fell over, and Sam realized that Oc had not been knocked out at all, he had gotten up and used his mechanical arms to stab her dad in the side. Oc laughed a maniacal laugh as Sam started to scoot herself back into the corner, away from him. “I told you, you were saving no one,” Oc taunted. "You are a stuipid child that will never learn.” Sam began to stand up slowly, she was in so much pain. Oc stood by and watched as he watched her struggling, before releasing his arms back out to strike a final blow. But one thing Oc couldn't count on was Sam's determination and anger, which drove her to keep fighting. That and her high powered suit. Sam immediately grabbed her diamond and began suiting up, faster than a bullet she flew at Oc. It was so unexpected that she caught Oc off guard, knocking him to the ground hard. The force of the blow was so hard that his mechanical arms broke apart, the life in them extinguished. Sam laid back down on the floor, all of her energy leaving her body. As the EMTs started pouring in to the old destroyed warehouse, Sam began to yell for them to take her dad first. She looked up in time to see that Peter was still outside hiding in one of the trees, having finally woken up. She smiled at the thought that he was okay, but was still worried for her dad as he was laying unconscious a couple feet away. The police began to take Oc into custody as four EMTS finally made their way over to Sam and Tony. They loaded Tony up on a stretcher and into an ambulance and carried him off immediately. ”Where are they taking him? I want to go with him!” Sam said. The fifth EMT, who was helping load Sam on the stretcher, spoke calmly and sweetly to her. “We can't let you go with him right now, I need you to lay down.” Sam tried to argue back, explaining that he was her father and needed to be with him. But the just kept explaining that they needed to get him there as fast as they could, and that she could join him later. She finally calmed down when she heard over her EMTs radios that the stabbing victim was stable, because she knew that was her father they were talking about. It also helped her calm down knowing that the police cars that we're carrying Oc were on the way to the jail house. “See you're pops is okay, just lay down and we will take you right to him alright? My name is Nick I'll be taking good care of you okay? Let's get you out of here," he said smiling to Sam, she smiled back and laid back on the stretcher, and closed her eyes. Peter was okay, her dad would be alright, and she could finally move on with her life.
