Madison Lowe.

"Bye." I said before grabbing my car keys.

"Wait." Jason shouted from the kitchen. I got my hopes up and thought that he had changed his mind. "Hope you didn't forget what's mine and what's yours." He grabbed my wallet out of my bag and opened it up.

"I'll leave a bill or two. Don't worry." He chuckled to himself, thinking that his douchebag actions were funny.

"Are you really sinking to this level? Give me my money back."

"This is all mine, sweetheart. Have fun being independent."

"Jason." Blossom whispered, he heard her and looked down at my sister.

"What?"

"Does this mean that you're not my superman anymore?" Tears rolled down her cheeks one by one and sadness filled the room. I felt my own eyes getting watery. She was so hurt.

"Blossom-" Jason began but was cut off by Smith who laughed out loud.

"A bunch of emos all curled up in this corner. Weren't you supposed to leave?" He stared right at me. "Baby girl. You were great and all but you have to go."

My mouth hung open from all the words leaving his mouth. "I hope you wake up one day and realize what you've done. These straight up lies. I honestly don't think you're a hundred percent okay."

"He's completely okay, Madison. I think you are the issue." Jason joined the discussion.

"Do you think so or does he think so? Weren't we all good, beyond perfect, before he stuffed your brain with lies?" Jason started to look a bit guilty and I knew it wouldn't be long until he gave in.

I turned on my heel and opened the door up. Jason waved, mostly for my sister's sake. Next to him stood Smith with an evil smirk on his face. "Bye uglies."

Jason McCann.

I shut the door behind them, my heart was aching. "No need to call them ugly." I said to Smith, who hadn't left my side yet.

"Oh no! Don't say that! You know they are! We talked about this."

I was done listening to his bullshit about two words into the sentence. "Give me a break. Damn."

I walked into my bedroom and sat down on the bed, having the crib in front of me. I would've cried my heart out but Alyssa was in there. I decided to be strong for the two of us. "Mommy will be back, baby." I softly spoke to her as I picked her up. "She will." Alyssa smiled at me but it wasn't the usual smile. Maybe it was just my depressing mood that made me think she was sad too. "I'm sorry for doing this to you. You need her, baby girl. I know you do."

The tears were uncontrollable. I put Alyssa back in her crib so that I could lay down. I took my outfit off because in reality, I wasn't going clubbing or picking up chicks. I was about to stay in my bedroom with the only person I could count on, and I was going to just cry and be angry at myself.

I was angry at myself for letting everything go so far. It went way too far with the way I physically hurt her, the way I took her money and didn't let her have an apple. All because I thought she did something. Something she probably didn't do.

Now I've lost her. I've lost it.

-

"Rise and shine!" My blinds were being pulled at and I groaned out loud.

"Alex!"

"Are you ever getting over this?" He chuckled and I dropped my head back in the pillow. "I'll never get over her. She's my everything.."

"Damn." He sighed. "Well get your ass up anyways. We could get your girl back if that's what you want."

"I don't want the gang to respect me any less for having Maddie and B staying with me. I heard some shit. Y'all hate them."

"Are you kidding me? Madison is the best. The best thing for you and for this house. She's the best for your daughter, too. Where did you hear that craziness?"

"Smith. What's the issue?"

"Well he's fooling the shit out of you." Alex chuckled. "It's the opposite. What you did to Maddie yesterday is the only way you could possibly lose any respect in this position."

"I knew it. I could feel it. He wanted to ruin us and I fucking let him. It went too far."

"Kick him out of here. Should've done it a long time ago. Jason, to be completely honest, you're so fucking stupid."

"I can't kick him out. I don't want any drama yet. She's not even a month old."

"What does Alyssa's age have to do with Smith? If anything, that would protect her in the future."

"My way of protecting my daughter is just laying low. I won't make enemies. She's gonna have a safe childhood."

"But this is your work... Enemies are what you make for a living. You need to realize that some paper work here and there won't be accepted for too long. You can still protect her."

"I'd die if something ever happened to Alyssa. You realize that right?" I was sitting up by now, trying to convince my brother even more, being able to use body language in this position.

"I know. I'll protect her with my life. You'll protect her with your life. We're McCanns. We ain't got no worries like this. Alyssa is safe, enemies for our gang or not."
