Blossom Lowe.
Sandra went up to me the second she laid her eyes on me. "Wait are you dating Samson?" She gasped and almost looked a bit disgusted. "Yeah- I mean- Yes. Why?"
"Bitch!" She playfully yelled out loud as she held her stomach, laughter not even escaping. "He's such a player!"
"Maybe I can switch the game up?" I smirked and Sandra joined. She went back to being nice and mysterious. "You actually could. You really could break the ugly pattern of Samson Smith."
"He doesn't seem like the type of guy to play with girls hearts." I commented thinking about how sweet he was acting, so perfect. "Oh, girl. He doesn't play with their hearts. He plays with their bodies."
"Not mine. I promise you." I put my finger up in front of her and she grabbed it. "You better not."
"English class?" I asked and earned a nod from my friend. "We have English with the girls. And dickhead. And Samson." My lips curled at the last one. "Let's go then."
Of course Cameron, Mr Dick, had alredy occupied the seat that he knew I wanted. Sandra sat down and began to argue with him, everything to get me my seat. "Psst. Blossom." I heard from across the classroom and I turned to check. Samson was waving his hand in his own direction and I spotted the empty seat. I had promised to sit with Sandra and it had already became some kind of automatic routine. I didn't wanna let her down.
"Are you gonna move today, or?" I looked at the platina watch that securly hugged my wrist. "No I'm actually not."
"Is it okay if I just sit somewhere else today? I mean, we won't get him to move anyways and class starts in like a minute." I asked Sandra and her face fell. "I'll go sit with my girls then."
As I walked to the seat near Samson, I saw Sandra sit down with her cheerleader friends and in an instant, their mouths went off quietly and their eyes sneakily were on and off me. Great. Now they hate me, too.
"Hey babe." Samson kissed my cheek and I actually couldn't help but to crack a smile. "Uh oh here comes the teacher."
I got my notebook ready and smiled a bit at the teacher. "Looks like we have a new face in here. I'm Ms Lamar. Wanna introduce yourself to me?" The young lady at the front said to me. "I'm Blossom."
"Where are you from?' I blinked, where am I from? All I know is Miami. I know about the hispanic roots, but where am I from? "Miami. Just born and raised right here."
"Aren't your parents from somewhere else? We have a lot of different nationalities in our school so I just got really curious because you don't look fully American."
I don't know where my parents are from. I don't know my parents. "I'm filipina mexican." I had heard Madison say those words before so I took a wild guess. "Beautiful! Thank you so much for that, Blossom!"
"Now let's continue our theme and talk a bit about refugees. And Blossom, all my grading will be done orally, looking past the short story you will start today. If you don't speak in my class, don't expect a high grade." I nodded.
"I've got a dilemma for this class to discuss before we start writing your short stories." I listened up and calmed down from my open conversation in front of the class. I cooled the nerves from trying to figure out my parents' backgrounds in a split second. "Is it okay for a child to flee all alone and leave their family behind?"
The whole class protested. "No!"
I looked over at Samson who agreed with the whole class. Was I the only one with my own opinion? The opposite of theirs?
