Hey, Upper East Siders. There's nothing Gossip Girl likes more than a surprise. And we hear Blair Waldorf's got a two for one special. Her mom, Eleanor, who just returned from Paris and Serena Van Der Woodsen, brunch buddies.

WHEN VICTORIA HAD exchanged words with Carter Baizen, which were caused with her disbelief, there wasn't much to say afterward. The thought she had for that weekend, which was to watch everything in the rain, something she wanted to enjoy as she sipped at her mocha and nibbled her croissant was ruined by her past that had crept up to her. She had thought it was for the better to run away from what she had put behind her. Being Carter Baizen. His unexpected return to Manhattan had actually sent shock waves through the Humphrey as it had been a long while since her eyes had fallen upon the boy who once had her heart and who she cherished.

Once upon a time, Carter Baizen was everyone's dream guy, the brooding teen who loved a party, a few drinks and happened to have been the life of the wild. Maybe other people were to have different reactions from Victoria with his arrival to his home city. The Baizen brooded and he had remained a mystery, though girls reeled over him, he was never one for sleeping with different girls, doing what he shouldn't. That was because he was taken, everyone knew that but it never stopped girls from flirting. They just didn't happen to know who had captured his seemingly cold heart.

The Humphrey was happy enough to be a secret. She was in sophomore year, and Gossip Girl had kicked off and it was her first thought for her to never be on the site that allowed for gossip to spread around so easily.

And she planned to keep it that way, which meant keeping her distance away from Carter Baizen and whatever he had to say to her. He had been trying to reach Victoria, either through texts or through phone calls, it forced the Humphrey to silence her phone and drown out the communication that Carter thought would reconnect them.

When she thought she had been gifted with the silence from his messages, she would turn the volume back up on her phone but it was a continuous mistake she had been making.

Dan Humphrey had been questioning, in his head, who had been constantly calling his sister and why she had seemed so secretive about it. It had bothered him for quite some time, even as they had dropped Jenny in Hudson for the weekend to spend with Alison and her art. Given that Victoria was on a short fuse, she preferred to not take her rage out on her mother, she had been bitting on her tongue for quite sometime with her mother's absence from Brooklyn, and she knew she couldn't unleash her rage on the woman just yet.
