WINTER TOOK A turn within the city of New York, where blankets of snow layered the ground, icy paths made and when breath passed through the lips of an individual, a slight fog would follow before disappearing into the air. Victoria wished for a white Christmas, but she was given the joy of snow months after. Sure, it annoyed her but she thankful to see the white snow cover the streets of the city, clinging to the naked trees and the snowflakes would fall and intertwine in the locks of her hair.
The snow amplified her feeling of joy, she had been planning the summer ahead with Nate, after convincing her father to allow her a summer away from home. Rufus had been rather reluctant, as he wanted to spend this approaching summer with his children, which he had been unfortunate to the year before. But he accepted the distance. Victoria was successful graduating Constance, it was in her right to celebrate with the man she loved.
Dan Humphrey had been the one to never spend the summer without his twin, he actually didn't know how he was to cope with her absence as she toured places in Europe. The list seemingly never ending as from the moment that they both left the Humphrey loft in approach to Nate's townhouse to watch ESPN, she continued to name the countries she had a desire to go to. "Budapest, Bucharest, Dubrovnik." She named.
"Oh, there's nothing like summer in the Eastern Bloc." Victoria snorted at her brother. "Just an Eurail Pass and a backpack full of failed socialist policies."
"And Nate." The porcelain teen was quick to remind her brother of the company she was due to keep. "The Vienna State Opera one day, pierogies in Poland the next. Nothing but total freedom. The bonus of it all? Nate is super excited about it, too."
Dan quipped. "Probably not as excited as he is about our day of college basketball."
The pair had approached Nate's townhouse, finding the boy standing outside in a rather heated discussion with a man whose back faced those in approach. But Victoria had seen it, the moment Nate caught glimpse of them he had been relieved. "Hey, guys!" The conversation between the man was disrupted, and he had turned to see who the Archibald spoke to. "Hey, this is my cousin, Tripp."
Victoria kindly smiled in direction to the fair skinned man, his eyes doe eyes fell upon the twins, as his plumped lips formed a slight smile. It was doubted if he had the interest of bumping into Nate's friends as he was there under other pretences. "Hey." He was still kind enough to greet them.
