chapter fourteen.
the blair bitch project

Wakey, wakey, Upper East Siders. Spring break is done and I'm starved for the dish. Were you sunning in Capri or sinning in Croatia? Give me the deets. And has anyone spotted our ex-queen B? Where does the dethroned royalty vacation these days?

THE SPRING BREAK had Victoria dividing her time between Brooklyn and Hudson, spending quality time with her father and her mother, who she had felt rather detached from since the woman returned to Hudson and started her relationship with Alex. But with trying to spend an equal amount of time with both of her parents, Victoria hadn't begun to see the changes that occurred with her little sister ( who had been rather absent during the spring break ). Jenny was seemingly growing up, and that meant she was changing and starting that was the development of friendships she had acquired over the spring break, where she was doing everything and all with the girls that were once minions of Blair Waldorf. For what Victoria understood was that Jenny Humphrey was climbing the social ladder at school, and it seemed she's the one replacing the empty throne that Blair had been thrown off of.

Victoria's spring break didn't just consist of her trying to divide her time with her father and mother, but speaking to Nathaniel Archibald, St. Jude's golden boy. From the moment she had first called him, where they ended up talking until sunrise it seemed to have become a frequent thing. Time was spent over the phone than in person. Victoria would call Nate when she had something good to show him, when she wanted to get something off of her chest and the same went for him, too. When Nate couldn't sleep he'd call her and she would just so happen to be working on her art a little too late. It was such a weird thing, that they bonded over phone calls and not once was it suggested for them to meet personally.

The Humphrey was very much aware that if they had stepped out of the comfort of their homes into the world of Gossip Girl, a blast would be sent out for everyone to see about a possible relationship. Which it wasn't! Victoria didn't want it to be. He was a friend who needed comfort and a reality check at the same time, and it was what she had given him as a friend.

It was noticeable to see the way Victoria had suddenly become heavily attached to her phone. Dan's assumption was that Victoria was finally caught up in Gossip Girl blasts as for Alison, she had assumed that her eldest daughter had found interest in a boy given the smile that was upon her face whenever she had glanced over. Dan noted the guess of his mother, and begun to watch the way Victoria reacted when she looked down at the screen of her phone.

Dan even tried glancing over the teen's shoulder at the kitchen counter, both of them had just arrived back to Brooklyn, got ready for school and savoured the taste of their father's waffles. The raven haired teen's eyes narrowed, squinting to get a closer look at what exactly was the fault of the slight grin that Victoria had, and what she tried to hide by biting down on her bottom lip. "W-What you smiling at there?" Dan queried with the hope of receiving an answer from his twin.
