how to succeed in bassness✧
All Hallow's eve, the one day of the year it's socially acceptable to play dress-up. The only question is, who do you wanna be? There are costumes to make men feel like boys again or turn little girls into queens.

WHEN RATING HOLIDAYS, Thanksgiving remained number one on Victoria's list. Second? Well, that was Christmas, and it'd be first if a white Christmas was promised. Third? That was Halloween, and it was approaching, literally upon the doorstep of those within New York City. Victoria favoured Halloween deeply, she loved the costumes, the decorations and the horror movies, things all possible of making her fearful. It was the fact that you didn't have to be yourself for one night but the character you wore. When she was younger, Halloween was her favourite holiday, as she enjoyed knocking down on doors in Brooklyn for trick-or-treating. As she had outgrown that era of time, she was subjected to only being able to party and wear costumes. This year round? Victoria Jeanette Humphrey was home bound, due to the continuously growing bump.
While her friends had parties they wished to attend to, her siblings also searching for parties to dress up at, she was going to be stuck within the comfort of an empty condo. Riven hadn't come home for the weekend of Halloween, he swore to her that Halloween nights at Yale were by far the best. Yale owned the best parties at Halloween, and it was deeply criminal to even conjure the thought of missing them. Victoria understood Riven's urge to stay in New Haven, considering the fact it was his final year at the university, and every moment needed to be commemorated.
But, with the thought of there going to be a lonely night, her father suggested for her to spend the night at the VDW penthouse, knowing that he and Lily were going to be locked away in the costumes he chose to serve children sweets. Victoria didn't protest, she actually felt grateful that someone had yet thought of her and invited her over for the night.
Rufus Humphrey suggested moments of playing guitar together, the instrument she hadn't yet touched for a long time, and which she ventured to Brooklyn for. It had been a while since she had stepped foot into the Humphrey loft, especially since she, Rufus and Jenny had moved out, and Daniel practically had their entire home to himself.
It was odd, thinking about it. Dan lived there alone. Victoria had erased her emotional ties to the Humphrey loft and resided in the Upper East Side of New York. How could she have not thought about it until the moment she came face-to-face with the paint chipped door? Her home was no longer her home. It was a place she rarely come to visit.
Victoria knew to not linger in her thought as the more she was to think about it, the more likely she was to feel tears burning within her eyes, prepared to roll down her tender cheeks. She pushed open the door slowly, not expecting to be greeted by Dan and Nate lounging in the living room, their eyes focused upon the laptop that let out heavy breaths and rough moans that caused her grimace. What on earth were they watching?
