chapter forty-one.
the goodbye gossip girl✧
Like everything on the Upper East Side, high school graduation is done a little differently. Who needs pomp and circumstance when you have paparazzi?
✧
GRADUATION DAY ONCE sat at Victoria's fingertips. Now? Well, it was finally in her reach and moments away before she was to say goodbye to high school with her diploma to be greeted to the life outside of teen hood. The moment her eyes had fluttered open, her heart skipped a beat with the realisation that her time at Constance Billard had finally ceased. No more high school. No more hierarchy. And the world ahead of her was to greet and treat her as an adult, which she had been acting far too much like at such a young age.
She wasn't the only who faced realisation setting in, all of her peers had felt it. Maybe it was down to the fact that this was to be the last day they were to face Gossip Girl. The gossiper only focused on teens within their high school years, and terrible actions were known to occur within teenagers. So amongst realisation was a wave of relief.
This caused a smile to form upon the glossed lips of Victoria Humphrey, her cheeks rosy and her eyes glistening with the excitement that pitted in her stomach and caused her to bounce on the tips of her toes in anticipation. The moment had been captured, Victoria standing among her peers with her green graduation gown opened and sitting on her shoulders to show the blue dress she wore with a dye of purple within the centre.
Victoria's hair sat loose on her shoulders as she fiddled with the programme, she had been left to stand alone while Nate conversed with his grandfather, William had made his appearance to support his grandchild, but he also searched for the possibility of him rekindling with his daughter.
Anyway, Vanessa Abrams pointed her camera in direction to Victoria, only pleased with the success the girl had accomplished. When Victoria had first joined Constance Billard, she had sent her emails to Vanessa to announce her fear of being unable to keep up the girls around her, considering that they were smarter than her. Even through Victoria's anxieties she had managed to walk away with a diploma and a good grade to make her appealing in applications.
Vanessa crept her way towards Victoria, gliding to keep her camera still and to make sure the beauty of the Humphrey was to not blur. "Tori." She announced her presence which pulled Victoria's hazel orbs away from the teens surrounding her, huddled with their parents, to her best friend. "Tell me. How do you feel about graduating?"
Victoria let out an exasperated sigh before replying. "Excited." The cap she fiddled with was placed upon her head as she cheekily grinned into the camera.
